Bournemouth v Oldham preview

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Bournemouth and Oldham at Dean Court.

Bournemouth's preparations have been given a boost with the news that the injury to Simon Francis is not as serious as first feared. The right-back missed the 1-0 win at Doncaster with a hip problem and Eddie Howe looked set to dip into the loan market for cover but the positive news means Francis is now just a doubt for the double-header with Paul Dickov's men and then Stevenage. Howe's only other injury worry is striker Frank Demouge who had to be substituted at half-time of the reserves' 1-1 draw at Exeter in midweek with a knock. Oldham make the trip to Goldsands Stadium hoping to stop Bournemouth from winning their fifth successive game and making it eight games unbeaten since Howe returned to take charge. Oldham manager Paul Dickov has a selection headache in central midfield. Captain Dean Furman and James Wesolowski were the starting pair in the Latics' engine room during last weekend's 1-0 defeat at home to npower League One leaders Tranmere, but both collected their fifth bookings of the season and must serve a one-match ban. Robbie Simpson has featured as a midfielder in recent weeks and is set to return after a groin strain ruled him out against Rovers. Contesting a place alongside Simpson are Youssuf M'Changama and youngster Carl Winchester, while forward Jose Baxter is capable of dropping back from his preferred role if required. There is better news for Dickov in defence as he welcomes centre-back Jean-Yves Mvoto back from a three-match ban.
