Bournemouth v Shrewsbury preview

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League One clash between Bournemouth and Shrewsbury Town at Dean Court.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has some selection headaches after he rotated his squad for the 4-0 FA Cup first-round win against Dagenham. The Cherries boss rested David James and captain Miles Addison and was unable to select Lee Barnard, on loan from Southampton, but their replacements all played a part in the comfortable victory. Shwan Jalal, Steve Cook and Matt Tubbs were given the nod and Donal McDermott, Wes Fogden and Eunan O'Kane impressed the manager after coming off the bench. And with no fresh injury worries Howe has plenty to ponder. Striker Wes Thomas, back with the club following a loan spell at Portsmouth, suffered a hamstring injury in training last week but it is nothing serious, according to his manager. Graham Turner is pondering changes as Shrewsbury aim to bounce back from their FA Cup humiliation. The Shrews boss watched his side bow out of the competition at the first hurdle with a 3-1 defeat at Hereford, a club where he spent a total of 15 years between before departing in 2010. Turner will be demanding a huge response from his side and, with no new injury or suspension problems expected, could well turn to those who missed out on starting berths against the Bulls. Joe Jacobson, Matt Richards and Jamie Proctor all dropped to the bench, joining the likes of Mark Wright, Aaron Wildig and Terry Gornell. Defender Julian Bennett, who joined on loan on Friday, is again unlikely to figure due to family reasons.
