Bolton are expected to have Jay Spearing available to face Peterborough as they look to secure their return to the Championship, live on Sky Sports 2 HD from 11.30am on Sunday.
Wanderers will start the final day of the season two points above Fleetwood, who face Port Vale at Highbury, and Spearing should be in their ranks despite a back injury.
Skipper Darren Pratley (hamstring) is boss Phil Parkinson's other big concern after he missed out against Vale. Mark Davies (knee) is a long-term absentee for Bolton, who will be looking to secure an instant return to the second tier.
Peterborough appear likely to stick with the side which beat Bristol Rovers 4-2. Posh have no fresh injuries ahead of the trip to Wanderers. Jack Baldwin returned in the win over Rovers, adding some experience alongside young left-back Lewis Freestone and midfielders Callum Chettle and Leonardo Da Silva Lopes, who scored twice last time out.
Long-term injury victims Jermaine Anderson and Gwion Edwards (both knee) are the only definite absentees.
Opta stats
Bolton have never lost a home game against the Posh in any competition, winning four and drawing one.
Peterborough have, however, won two of the last three league meetings (L1) - a 5-4 victory in December 2012 and 1-0 win in this season's reverse fixture.
The Trotters have won their last match of a league season just once in the last 11 seasons, a 2-1 win over Birmingham in 2009/10.
The Posh have drawn two and lost four of their six away league games against sides in the top seven of League One this season.
Phil Parkinson has lost four of his last five league matches against Peterborough (W1), although the only victory in that run was a 4-0 win in February 2016 as Bradford boss.
Prutton's prediction
This is the game Bolton get it done. Phil Parkinson has dealt with expectations reasonably well over the course of the season as Bolton in League One are a team everybody wants to beat. With the standard of players they have, and level of coaching, they should have been home and hosed before now.
I was there last season when Bolton went down and there wasn't that usual vitriol from the stands. The fans weren't horrible and everybody knew it was a whole host of problems that dragged them down and they have stuck with them. It will be celebration time this Saturday.
PRUTTON PREDICTS: 2-0 (Sky Bet's odds: 13/2)
