Marko Basa's last-gasp header rescued a 1-1 draw for Lille as Bordeaux maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Marko Basa's last-gasp header rescued a point for Lille as Bordeaux maintained their unbeaten start to the season. Les Girondins looked set for all three points after Ludovic Obraniak, playing his second match in three days, struck in the 17th minute. Both sides had several chances thereafter but the score remained the same deep into stoppage time, where Basa headed home from Florent Balmont's corner. It was a cruel blow for the hosts, who extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to 16 games but missed the chance to move up to second. They started with a positive intent tonight. Jaroslav Plasil released Yoan Gouffran inside the penalty area and he turned around from the right and fired against a post before a grateful Lille goalkeeper Mickael Landreau grabbed the rebound. At the other end, Lille, who had just two wins from eight games before tonight, went on the attack soon after as Dimitri Payet headed inches wide from Nolan Roux's left-wing cross. He was made to pay for his miss, however, as Obraniak put Bordeaux in front after 17 minutes. The Poland midfielder, who played in his country's 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw against England in Warsaw two days ago, dived to head past Landreau from Filho Mariano's centre. Former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou nearly levelled matters minutes later but his header produced a tremendous save from Bordeaux keeper Cedric Carasso, who also tipped over Balmont's volley from the edge of the area. After the interval, Landreau denied Florian Marange's effort from just outside the box while Jussie and Gouffran also spurned half-chances. In the closing stages, the visitors desperately pushed for an equaliser, with Carrasso saving well from Tulio de Melo's header and a snap shot from Roux. Eventually, the pressure told and Balmont's corner was met by Basa, who headed home to the delight of the visiting fans.
