Sky Bet Championship rivals Brentford and Norwich meet at Griffin Park in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Neither side has had the best start in the league, with the Bees still chasing a first win and Norwich sitting in mid-table under new boss Daniel Farke.
Brentford are without several absentees, including Sergi Canos, who is out with an ankle injury and Lasse Vibe, who is not expected to return from a foot problem until at least the weekend.
There also remains some uncertainty surrounding Henrik Dalsgaard, who missed the weekend's fixture with Reading after appearing to be knocked out against Sheffield Wednesday.
Lewis Macleod could yet make manager Dean Smith's matchday squad as he continues his return following a long-term knee injury.
Farke says he will make some changes to the starting Norwich line-up.
Farke revealed that James Maddison has recovered from the knock he suffered on Saturday, but says Russell Martin and Steven Naismith will miss the trip to Griffin Park.
Grant Hanley will also be cup-tied after playing in the first round of the tournament for Newcastle.
This is the third time these two sides will have met in the third round of the League Cup, with Norwich winning in both September 1968 and October 1991.
However, Brentford won the last League Cup encounter in August 2001, beating the Canaries 1-0 in the first round thanks to a late Kevin O'Connor goal.
The Bees have only reached the fourth round twice in their history, once in 1982-83 and most recently in the 2010-11 campaign.
Norwich are looking to reach the fourth round in three successive seasons for the first time since 1986-87 (five consecutive seasons).
The Bees have lost their last two home League Cup outings, last winning at home in August 2013 against Dagenham and Redbridge.
