Bristol City have skipper Bailey Wright back from a two-game ban for Tuesday's clash with Preston.
Wright is available after being retrospectively punished for simulation during City's recent 2-0 win at Fulham. Left-back Joe Bryan is rated 50-50 after picking up a knock in Saturday's goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday.
Famara Diedhiou (knee) is still missing so Milan Djuric could feature, even though Robins boss Lee Johnson admits the Bosnian striker's workload has to be carefully managed because of a groin problem.
Preston boss Alex Neil can call upon Jordan Hugill again after the forward served a one-match suspension. Marnick Vermijl and Josh Earl also could feature after missing the 0-0 draw with Bolton on Friday.
Captain Tom Clarke and goalkeeper Declan Rudd were on the bench for that game but are not yet ready for a start. North End are looking to halt a seven-match winless streak.
Bristol City have collected just three points in their last eight league games against Preston (W0 D3 L5).
Preston won both matches between the sides in the Championship last season, including a 5-0 hammering in April.
Preston have won just two of their last 19 matches on the road in the Championship (D8 L9).
The Lilywhites are the only Championship side that are yet to score a single goal in the opening 15 minutes of a match this season.
