Burton v Oxford preview

Image: Chris Hussey: Should be fit enough to feature

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Burton Albion and Oxford United at the Pirelli Stadium.

Chris Hussey is expected to be fit for the Brewers' match this weekend. Hussey missed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Notts County in midweek with a tight hamstring but the left-sided midfielder should be back in manager Gary Rowett's starting line-up against the U's. Rowett rested skipper Lee Bell and Rory Delap on Tuesday night and left Adam McGurk and Rene Howe on the bench. They were replaced by Phil Edwards, Matty Palmer, Jack Dyer and Dominic Knowles for the first round tie. The Albion boss must decide whether any of the quartet that came into the team did enough to keep the shirt for this weekend's League Two fixture. The U's are set to have Dave Kitson available as they look to extend their 100 per cent away record with a win. The former Reading forward played an hour in the 1-1 draw with Rochdale despite falling ill on the morning of the match but he could be fit enough to start again against the Brewers. And while Sean Rigg remains sidelined manager Chris Wilder will check on striker Deane Smalley who missed out against Dale with a hamstring injury. Danny Rose has been one of Oxford's most impressive performers in recent weeks and he looks set to retain his place as the U's look to remain unbeaten in League Two.
