Kee bags winner for Brewers

Striker Billy Kee came off the bench and scored the winner as Burton came from behind to beat Walsall 2-1 at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.

The Saddlers took the lead after six minutes when the Albion defence failed to deal with a low free-kick in the box and Will Grill was on hand to poke home the loose ball. The hosts equalised just before the half-hour mark after Jacques Maghoma's low cross fell to summer signing Robbie Weir, who fired into the roof of the net from 15 yards out. Gary Rowett's side were impressive and Ashley Hemmings went close with a shot that flew just over the Walsall crossbar. The winning goal came 11 minutes from time when Chris Palmer found Kee, back from groin surgery after a five-month absence, on the edge of the area and he made space to curl an unstoppable shot past David Grof.
