Frank de Boer will be chasing his first win as Crystal Palace boss when they host Sky Bet Championship side Ipswich in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Palace were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Liverpool on Saturday, to follow up their opening-day thumping by Huddersfield, and now they face Ipswich - who have won all five of their games so far this season - at Selhurst Park,
Mick McCarthy's side currently sit second in the Championship table, alongside Cardiff as one of only two sides with a perfect record so far in the division.
David McGoldrick scored twice for Ipswich as they overcame League Two Luton 2-0 in the first round to set up the trip to Palace.
De Boer may shuffle his pack for Tuesday night, but will be without defender Jairo Riedewald as the new signing misses out with a groin injury.
Wilfried Zaha (knee) is also absent while Yohan Cabaye and James McArthur will be pushing to start having returned to match fitness.
McCarthy has confirmed he will make 11 changes from the side that beat Brentford on Saturday, and is set to field a host of teenagers at Selhurst Park. Eighteen-year-old Flynn Downes and 17-year-old Tristan Nydam are among those confirmed as starters by the boss.
This is only the second League Cup meeting between the sides - Ipswich won the previous encounter 4-1 in October 1996, with braces from Paul Mason and Alex Mathie.
The last meeting between the teams at Selhurst Park was a thumping 5-0 win for Crystal Palace in November 2012, with Glenn Murray scoring a hat-trick.
McGoldrick scored a brace in the first round win at Luton - he has had a hand in seven goals in his last five League Cup matches for the Tractor Boys (three goals, four assists).
The Eagles have won 19 of their last 20 home League Cup matches against sides from a lower division than them - the exception was a 2-1 defeat to Notts County in August 2006.
This one feels like it could be close. Mick McCarthy's first thought will be on the league, but because of the way they've started they could fancy themselves here.
Palace are still trying to find their feet under Frank de Boer and Ipswich will want to keep up their perfect start to the season. I fancy a shock.
Prutton predicts: 0-1 (18/1 with Sky Bet)
