Ifill to have fitness test, Helguson and Borrowdale hope to feature

Crystal Palace will check on Paul Ifill ahead of the derby with Queens Park Rangers, who could give two loan signings a debut. Ifill missed Tuesday night's 2-1 win at Norwich with a hamstring strain but the winger could return against Rangers. Strike duo Alan Lee and James Scowcroft are both close to returning from hamstring injuries and could feature in the reserves next week. Defender Danny Butterfield is still out with a hamstring problem of his own, so Nathaniel Clyne, 17, should continue at right-back. On-loan West Brom forward Craig Beattie keeps his place in attack and skipper Shaun Derry will push for a return to the starting line-up after recovering from illness.

QPR news

QPR could give debuts to Heidar Helguson and Gary Borrowdale, who arrived at Loftus Road on loan earlier this week. Bolton striker Helguson and ex-Palace full-back Borrowdale are in the squad, but boss Paulo Sousa will be without Emmanuel Ledesma and Fitz Hall through suspension. Argentinian midfielder Ledesma sits out after picking up five yellow cards this season while centre-half Hall is in the middle of a three-match ban. Winger Lee Cook (knee), skipper Martin Rowlands (thigh) and defender Matthew Connolly (back) all missed Tuesday night's 2-1 win over Charlton at Loftus Road and remain doubtful. Akos Buzsaky (knee) is out for the season and Rowan Vine (leg) is still sidelined.
