The final whistle is blown as and with it go Celtic's Champions League hopes for this year. Ajax have beaten Barcelona so it means the end of this season's European dream.
A defiant round of chanting rings around Celtic Park as the inevitability of this Champions League campaign coming to an end sinks in.
Celtic haven't stopped working and Samaras collects a cross from Izaguirre on the chest and attempts an acrobatic overhead kick, but he misses his target easily.
Ambrose goes on another daring dribble from defence and plays in Samaras who has a free shot at goal but he's offside.
Boeriggter takes a shot and the ball is deflected by the wall and wrong-foots Abbiati but the ball goes out for a corner.
Milan are starting to cruise through the game now and are passing the ball around a Celtic side who have been chasing shadows all night.
Rogic comes on for Forest for Celtic with Kaka leaving the field to an applause by the Celtic fans as he makes way for Robinho.
Izaguirre plays in a good ball to Samaras and Bonera does well to make sure the striker can't get a clean connection with the ball and Abbiati collects the ball.
Constant plays in a threatening first-time cross and van Dijk does well to clear the danger with Balotelli lurking.
A lot of crosses have been played into Samaras but the Milan defence has easily dealt with his aerial threat all evening.

Samaras catches a boot from Bonera as his feet give way from underneath him. Completely accidental but the striker feels the need to prove his point with a scratch down his side.
Celtic are pressing to try and at least score a consolation goal as they try not to go out of the competition with a whimper.

Samaras is awarded a free kick after Zapata pushes the striker. The referees decision is met by ironic cheers from the crowd.
Forrest is played in by Lustig and he pokes the ball goalwards but he's unable to find the target as it goes inches wide.
GOAL! (Balotelli) The striker breaks through the Celtic defence after Montolivo plays the perfect through-ball and the Italian does well to hold off Ambrose and calmly slot past Forster from a tight angle.
Celtic are still pressing unwilling to give up the game despite the two goal deficit they must overcome.
Van Dijk nods the ball past Abbiati into the net after Borrigter's cross, but he's offside and the goal won't count.
GOAL! (Zapata) AC Milan score the second from a corner after the ball is played back across the face of goal for Zapata to tap in the ball at the back post.
Mulgrew lines up the shot but hits the wall, the ball breaks back to Mulgrew who plays a chipped first-time shot to the back post with van Dijk free but hits his volley tamely to Abbiati. Should've levelled there.
Lustig is brought down just on the edge of the area by Emanuelson. A good position for Celtic to get back into the game early on.

Boerrigter cuts inside on to his right foot and hits a stinging shot but Zapata blocks his way to goal and the ball goes out for a corner. Mulgrew takes the resulting corner and Abbiati catches the ball this time.
Kaka picks the ball up from Birsa and hits a fantastic curling shot from 25-yards out and it just misses the target.
Boeriggter finds great space down the left flank and puts in a decent cross for Samaras to attack but Bonera beats him to the ball and clears.
Commons has the ball played into him by Izaguirre but without too many options the midfielder has a speculative shot from distance and the ball flies over the bar.
De Jong goes through the back of Kayal to give away a free kick. He plays a quick one to Forrest who plays in a great cross to Boerrigter who's header is cleared by Bonera.
Mulgrew plays in another corner with Abbiati again electing to punch clear but looking vulnerable in the process. The ball returns back into the box for Celtic and Boerrigter looks to be through on goal but he is adjudged offside.
Samaras and De Jong come together in the Milan penalty area with the Greece international taking exception to the challenge, but the referee waves play on.
Celtic are looking to press the AC Milan midfield early and give them a hard time in settling into their passing game.
