ALL OVER. Chelsea pick up the three points - but there will be plenty to talk about afterwards. Join me later for report and reaction
There's a set to as Oscar and Lucas come to blows after a two-footed challenge by the Chelsea man. Oscar was lucky to escape with only a caution there.
Torres has a chance to settle the game after weaving away from an injured Sakho but he can't find a way past Mignolet.
Suarez is on the floor again appealing in vain for a penalty after a clumsy challenge by Eto'o. The Chelsea striker was lucky to get away with that one.
Cahill flies into a challenge on Suarez and is cautioned for bringing the striker down in full flight. Cech punches the resulting free-kick away.
Suarez holds off Cahill and feeds Johnson who has a go with his left foot which is parried around the post by Cech at the expense of a corner. Coutinho takes but Chelsea clear.
Oscar wriggles into the Liverpool box and he goes for the corner with a curling right-footer which is just wide of the upright.
Suarez wins a free-kick after a seemingly innocuous challenge by Hazard. Coutinho swings the dead ball in with the Uruguayan striker going down under a Terry challenge. Webb waves penalty appeals away.
Good defending by Skrtel who gets across to deny a rampaging Eto'o. The corner goes all the way across the area without finding a head.
Enforced change for Liverpool as Allen goes on to be replaced by debutant Brad Smith. What a game to be thrown in to.
Coutinho cuts in off the left but he goes for goal rather than looking for a colleague in a red shirt.
Chance for Suarez after being picked out well by Henderson but the Uruguayan's volley is straight at Cech.
Oscar wins a corner off Johnson. Terry and Cahill come forward but the Brazilian's delivery is poor.
Great save by Mignolet to deny Eto'o after the striker is found by Hazard. The Belgian stood big there to block the powerful strike.
OFF THE BAR: Quick free-kick is played to Henderson whose chip finds Sakho in space. His looping header comes back off the upright and the Blues are able to clear their lines. Cech was stationary and beaten there.
Hazard and Oscar combine well down the Liverpool left but the Brazilian's centre is poor and the Reds bring it away.
Terry gets a lecture from Webb after catching Allen in the face with a flailing arm and picks up a caution.
The teams are on their way out for the second half. Jamie Carragher says it's the best Chelsea have been this season - and it's hard to argue with that verdict.
Short price with Sky Bet on a Chelsea win. They are 2/7 to take the three points while Liverpool are 9/1.
That's the interval - and as the teams troop off Eto'o swaps shirts with Sakho. Surely you've got to wait until the end of the match for that ritual, boys.
Rodgers will be glad to get his team in at half-time here as Luiz is penalised for a foul on Coutinho.
Johnson finds Sterling whose centre is half cut out but falls to Allen who strikes it well but it's palmed away by Cech. Best opening for the visitors since they took the lead.
Luiz puts the ball out so Hazard can receive treatment. The Belgian claims he caught an elbow to the face from Johnson - but at the worst it was a nudge with the arm. Still enough for the England full-back to pick up a caution though.
Liverpool need to dig in here as they are in danger of being over-run. Willian, Oscar and Hazard have looked a threat every time they go forward.
GOAL CHELSEA: Eto'o puts the Blues ahead from close range after good work by Oscar who gets a cross through Sakho's legs. Mignolet should have done better there. It was a tame shot.
Great trickery by Hazard but he can't quite pick out a blue shirt in the area. The Belgian has been a handful in the first period.
Sterling finds space and tries to chip the giant Cech but his effort is tame and is easily gathered by the Chelsea keeper.
Ivanovic can't continue and makes way for Cole who will slot in at left back with Azpilicueta moving across to the right.
Treatment for Ivanovic as the Serb overstretches in the challenge. Ashley Cole is warming up as this could be trouble for the big defender.
Great tackle by Cahill to deny Allen. He had to get that one right or it was a penalty and a red card.
Space opens up for Luiz after good work by Willian but the Brazilian skies his shot horribly high and wide.
Suarez is struggling to get a foothold in the game and hands possession to Luiz. Chelsea still bossing this contest.
GOAL CHELSEA: Superb right-footed equaliser from Hazard as he gets the break of the ball from Oscar's misplaced pass and bends the ball beyond Mignolet. Can't say it's not deserved.
Agger hands off Hazard at the expense of a free-kick. The makeshift left back may be in for a tricky afternoon.
Hazard is angry as he fails to get a corner with a reverse pass to Willian - but he's probably more cross he did not try a shot himself.
What a save from Mignolet. Lampard lets fly from 25 yards with a dipping right-footer but the Liverpool keeper turns the ball over with his right arm at full stretch. Superb stuff.
Hazard goes down in the box but went to ground far too easily. Webb is having none of it - and neither is Sky Sports' Gary Neville who feels it was no foul. Mourinho is furious but there was minimal - if any - contact.
Willian bundled over as Chelsea seek to get back into things quickly. Lampard floats in the free-kick which finds Cahill but he heads wide.
GOAL LIVERPOOL: Skrtel gets on the end of Coutinho's free-kick as Suarez gets the better of Ivanovic in a goalmouth scramble. What a start for the Reds - but what poor defending from the home side who are made to pay for Eto'o's clumsy challenge.
Early word for Eto'o from Howard Webb as he clatters into Jordan Henderson. Lucky to escape a yellow there.
And we're underway at Stamford Bridge. Agger starting at left back this afternoon. Interesting to see if Chelsea target the Dane.
Mourinho and Rodgers share a word as they emerge from the dressing rooms. Who will be all smiles at the final whistle?
The teams are in the tunnel. Terry leads out Chelsea on his 600th appearance for the Blues. Agger has the armband for Liverpool.
Lot of eyes on David Luiz playing in a holding role today. Will it prove a tactical masterstroke by Mourinho?
Brad has been in touch via email and says: "Interesting Chelsea line up, pretty strong, but would be much better with Mata & Torres instead of Eto'o & Willian, that could be the difference between winning & losing."
More Twitter predictions and @thekingy44 says: "Loving that Luiz is starting in midfield today! Going to be a tight game but the mighty blues will scrape a win" while @seantyrell2 adds: "I think that it will be 4-3 to Chelsea - Suarez hatrick 2 for oscar 1 for hazard 1 for lamps."
Landmark for Chelsea skipper John Terry today who makes his 600th appearance for the Blues - the fourth to pass that figure. And the other three are....???
@willmorris989 has been in touch via Twitter and says: "2-1 Liverpool, Suarez and Henderson for Liverpool, Hazard for Chelsea."
So now you've seen the starting line-ups what do you think? Time to get your thoughts and predictions in to me via email - email@example.com - or Twitter - @skysportswebed
Here is the Chelsea starting line up: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; D Luiz, Lampard; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Eto'o. Still no Ashley Cole while Torres is among the subs. Schwarzer, Cole, Essien, Mikel, Schurrle, Mata, Torres
The Liverpool side is in: Mignolet, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Sakho, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez. Subs: Jones, Toure, Alberto, Aspas, Cissokho, Rossiter, Smith. Young Jordan Rossiter is just 16 and makes his first appearance in the Reds' squad.
There are a few confident Liverpool fans around in the Twittersphere. @bennfinchh says:" 2-1 to LFC good record at the Bridge considering the calibre of the CFC team over the years, Henderson and Suarez to score" while @superred77 adds: "Liverpool looking to take all 3pts today to make sure they stay above Everton. Was Mourinho a defender in his playing days?"
Can Liverpool burst Jose's Stamford Bridge Premier League record today? Chad thinks so and predicts: "Hoping to break Jose's home record with a 2-1 win for the Reds. Suarez and Sterling for us and Ivanovic for Chelsea!"
On email, Jack says: "This has to be a draw, Mourinho will look to be solid at the back again but Suarez and Henderson will be too much to handle if they play like they have been. Chelsea will back themselves to put pressure on Liverpool and find the net at least once but I'm going for a 1-1."
Couple more predictions via Twitter. @kylefrance87 says: "Liverpool to win 3-1! Our No. 7 to score twice" while @cabot38 adds: "great to see Brendan Rodgers back at the bridge,it wil be a tight game!!! 1-1 my prediction!!!"
@lucasbentley also in touch via Twitter and says: "Fantastic game lined up, one of the most creative teams against one of the most unadventurous. My prediction 1-1 YNWA." So playing devil's advocate, which is the creative side then, Lucas???????
First prediction in via Twitter and @kaichappell25 tweets: "looking like a tough game today, Hazard to score and Suarez too but I don't know who else. Full time 3-2.
First prediction in is from Michael who says: "This is our game today. Liverpool have not got a chance of winning. 2-1 to the Blue army with Hazard and Mata slotting in."
Sky Bet are also offering a number of price boosts including Coutinho to score first at 11/1 and Oscar to bag the opening goal at 10/1.
If you fancy a wager, Sky Bet make the home side 23/20 to win with Liverpool 5/2 to come away from Stamford Bridge with all three points. The draw is also available at 5/2.
