Cheltenham v Torquay preview

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Cheltenham and Torquay at Whaddon Road.

Cheltenham's quartet of new additions are all fit and available. Jason Taylor has boosted Mark Yates' midfield options having left Rotherham while striker Byron Harrison has arrived from AFC Wimbledon. Reading's Michael Hector and Swindon's Paul Benson have both joined on loan and are raring to go. And Yates is delighted with his new additions and believes he has plenty of selection headaches ahead of the meeting with the Gulls. "It will be a tough job picking the team to face Torquay but I think that's what we've got to have," he told the club's official website. "We're in a good position and the players we're signing are good players, good quality players and I think in the current situation we find ourselves in we just need a bit of help." Defender Luke McCullough, who was borrowed from Manchester United last week, was an unused substitute against Rochdale and is set to be involved again. Harry Hooman is Yates' only absentee having undergone surgery on a damaged bone in his foot and a ligament at the base of a toe. Torquay will make the trip to Cheltenham without manager Martin Ling as the 46-year-old continues to rest after a viral infection. Assistant manager Shaun Taylor oversaw the 1-0 win over Exeter on Monday night and he will take control again with the help of club physio Damian Davey and goalkeeping coach Kenny Vasey. That victory saw Lloyd Macklin make a welcome return to action for the final 15 minutes. The 23-year-old winger had been missing since the 3-1 win over Accrington in October. Rene Howe netted the only goal against the Grecians but a booking against Mark Yates' men would be the striker's 10th of the season and would trigger a two-match ban. Torquay currently sit six points off an npower League Two play-off place but having played a game less than many of their rivals.
