    Bees rock Robins in JPT

Barnet booked their place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern semi-finals of the with a shock 2-0 win over Cheltenham at Whaddon Road.

Charlie Taylor's clinical 67th-minute finish clinched a low-key clash after Mark Marshall's 25-yard free-kick had broken the deadlock on the stroke of half-time. Taylor, who entered the fray after only 25 minutes when striker Izale McLeod limped off, took one touch to control Danny Senda's long pass before slotting a neat finish under the advancing Scott Brown. And on a night when the promotion-chasing hosts totally misfired, Marshall and Sam Deering both missed gilt-edged one-on-one chances to extend the Bees' winning margin in the closing stages. A quiet first half had produced little by way of goalmouth action until Marshall rifled through a porous defensive wall, leaving Brown rooted to the spot. The Cheltenham goalkeeper had earlier produced routine saves from a long-range Mark Byrne effort and Taylor's glancing header. Robins skipper Jeff Goulding wasted the Robins' best chance when he headed Bagasan Graham's cross weakly at Dean Brill.
