Colchester v Coventry preview

Image: Jabo Ibehre: Hoping to return

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Colchester United and Coventry City at Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Jabo Ibehre hopes to be available for Colchester's home clash against Coventry. The forward missed Tuesday's goalless draw versus Rotherham due to injury and will be assessed ahead of the meeting with the Sky Blues. Midfielder Alex Gilbey (hamstring) and long-term absentee Drey Wright (knee) could make the bench provided they come through Thursday night's Essex Senior Cup semi-final against Concord Rangers unscathed, although the encounter may come too soon. Craig Eastmond and Dominic Vose are pushing for recalls having dropped to the bench for the U's in their draw against Rotherham - a point which ended a three-match losing run. Carl Baker, Franck Moussa and Andy Webster will all be assessed ahead of Coventry's trip to Colchester. Captain Baker (calf) and fellow midfielder Moussa (groin) were both deemed not fit enough to feature in Wednesday's 2-1 home victory over Walsall at Sixfields, while defender Webster emerged from the clash struggling with a neck problem. Nathan Delfouneso returned from injury against the Saddlers to take his place on the bench and the on-loan striker will be pushing for a starting berth at the Weston Homes Community Stadium having come on to bag a late winner. City's midweek triumph was only their second win in nine league games and they will now be hoping to put further distance between themselves and the bottom four.
