Duo doubtful for Sky Blues as Addicks brace for relegation

Coventry City have a double injury concern ahead of the visit of Charlton Athletic, who could be relegated by Monday night. Aron Gunnarsson and Keiren Westwood were both substituted during Saturday's 4-0 defeat at Plymouth Argyle. Midfielder Gunnarsson limped off after 29 minutes, while goalkeeper Westwood suffered a facial injury early in the second half and both will be assessed before kick-off. Kevin Thornton came on for Gunnarsson and Andy Marshall replaced Westwood, and both are standing by to start if needed. City lost Stephen Wright and Jordan Henderson to injury last week, while Leon Best failed to recover from a groin problem to be involved at Home Park. Midfielder David Bell was left out as he continues to struggle with an ankle injury, while striker Leon McKenzie remains sidelined with an Achilles problem.

Charlton news

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson could be tempted to stick with the team which held Birmingham City to a 0-0 draw on Saturday. Parkinson could take heart from an impressive display against the promotion-chasers, with his side taking a well-deserved point. Midfielder Matt Spring is pushing for a squad place, but defender Jonathan Fortune (Achilles), midfielder Jose Semedo (ankle) and striker Andy Gray (pelvis) remain on the sidelines. The Addicks could potentially be relegated to League One at the Ricoh Arena if they fail to win and other results go against them.
