Danny Andrew is nearing a comeback for Doncaster but is unlikely to be risked in the Sky Bet League One clash with Oxford.
The full-back played for the first time since August when making his comeback from a serious knee injury in a midweek reserves match. Club captain Andy Butler made his comeback from a knee injury in the 3-3 draw with Bury and came through unscathed.
Oxford could give a start to influential winger Rob Hall following his long battle with a knee injury. Hall was an unused substitute in the 1-0 defeat at Wigan - his first inclusion in a match-day squad this year - and is deemed ready to make his return.
Oxford have no fresh injuries to report and boss Karl Robinson will keep changes to a minimum against Rovers. United are currently in 17th place, four points above the drop zone.
This will be Oxford United's first ever visit to the Keepmoat Stadium, having last faced them away from home at Belle Vue in September 2003. The U's have won just one of their five away league meetings with Doncaster (D2 L2).
Donny have won just one of their last eight meetings with Oxford in the Football League (D2 L5), although that victory did come in their last home match in September 2003 (2-0).
Oxford have lost each of their last four away league games, doing so for the first time since August 2014. They last went on a longer run of consecutive defeats back in October 2012 (6 games).
Doncaster's John Marquis has scored five goals in his last five league games, including three in his last two games at the Keepmoat Stadium.
