Torres' five-year tenure at Atletico Madrid was brought to an end last summer when he joined The Reds for a fee in the region of £25million.
He steadily built his reputation in Spain, working his way through Atletico's youth set-up before proving his class on the senior stage.
He made his international bow in 2003, and has since battled alongside the numerous, Spanish attacking options for a place in the starting XI.
This season, though, Torres has demonstrated incredible quality for The Reds, which has given manager Aragones much to think about heading into Euro 2008.
