Young French-born striker Mevlut Erdinc was something of a shock inclusion in Fatih Terim's squad for Euro 2008.
Having not featured during the qualification campaign, the Sochaux striker was handed his chance to impress in March's friendly against Belarus.
Terim clearly saw enough in Erdinc's 45-minute outing to convince him that he was worth a place in his final 23-man party.
Having left all-time leading Turkish goalscorer Hakan Sukur out of his plans, Terim is clearly looking to the future and could use the youngster as an impact player from the bench.
Erdinc emerged through the youth ranks at Sochaux and helped the club secure the 2007 Coupe de France, although he did not feature in the final.
He became a regular in Ligue 1 during the 2007/08 season and ended the campaign as the club's top scorer.
