Nancy's winless run was extended to 15 games as they remained rooted to the bottom of the table after a 1-1 draw at Evian.

Nancy's winless run was extended to 15 games as they remained rooted to the bottom of the Ligue 1 table following a draw at Evian. Brice Dja Djedje's clever finish sent Evian ahead just before half-time but Nancy, without a league win since the opening day, clawed themselves back into the contest through Yohan Mollo five minutes after the restart. A long overdue win never looked like arriving, however, as Evian came closest to maximum points when Daniel Wass crashed a shot against the crossbar. While Nancy could at least celebrate a third successive draw they remain in danger of being cut adrift with high-fliers Valenciennes, Lyon and Bordeaux lying in wait in their next three league games. Evian remain just a point ahead of the bottom three but had looked capable of putting clearer water between themselves and danger after controlling the first half. After initially surviving a scare when Helder volleyed wide after a poor defensive clearance, Pascal Dupraz's side took over. Kevin Berigaud missed two good chances in the opening half-hour. First he spooned over after clever play from Youssef Adnane down the right flank, before his snap-shot fizzed inches wide. The hosts were deservedly ahead two minutes before the interval though thanks to the invention of Dja Djedje as he raced onto Adnane's through-ball before deftly lobbing the exposed Guy N'dy Assembe. The Nancy goalkeeper was immediately called into action after the break to hold on to Cedric Mongongu's header before the visitors drew level with an eye-catching move. Salif Sane started it as he released Jordan Loties into the penalty area and his cross was cleverly allowed to run on by Djamel Bakar for Mollo to slide home. Evian attempted to wrestle back their lead and came closest when, with 18 minutes left, Wass ran onto a Cedric Barbosa pass and curled a shot that smacked into the frame of the goal.
