Image: Nardiello: Injury concern for Grecians

Team news ahead of Tuesday's Carling Cup first-round clash between Exeter and Yeovil at St James Park.

Striker Daniel Nardiello is facing a fight to be fit after being stretchered off just before half-time in the season opener at Stevenage. The club will assess his fitness before the match at Yeovil. Guillem Bauza could make the squad following his recovery from a knock in pre-season, and may make his debut for the Grecians. The majority of the side will remain unchanged from the uneventful 0-0 draw at Stevenage, with Paul Tisdale having plenty of options available to him. Exeter will be hoping to beat their League One rivals and advance to the second round of the Carling Cup for the first time since they regained league status in 2008. Defender Max Ehmer is a serious doubt after picking up an ankle injury in Yeovil's 2-0 loss at Brentford on Saturday. A number of other players were feeling the pace after the opening match of the season, but boss Terry Skiverton is hoping they will recover in time for the Carling Cup first round tie. "I think Max has turned his ankle and might be missing on Tuesday," Skiverton told Western Morning News. "We need to see what the fall-out is with a couple of others. "It's what you expect from a game like that in early season. There are a few players with tight legs, but we will get them in for training and see how they react."
