Mario Gomez scored twice as Stuttgart's excellent form under Tayfun Korkut continued with a 2-1 win at Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Friday.
Gomez headed the visitors in front in the fourth minute as he connected with Dennis Aogo's free-kick delivery into the box.
Freiburg levelled eight minutes into the second half, launching a break when Stuttgart gave away possession that was finished in style by Nils Petersen, who lifted a delightful shot over Ron-Robert Zieler.
Gomez then notched what proved the winner with 15 minutes to go, converting from close range at the second attempt after his initial shot was parried by Alexander Schwolow.
The 32-year-old striker, who earlier on Friday was named in Joachim Low's Germany squad, has now scored six goals since rejoining Stuttgart in January.
January also saw the club appoint Korkut as boss, and they remain unbeaten after seven games with the former Turkey midfielder at the helm, with this their fifth win in that run.
Stuttgart moved up to eighth in the Bundesliga with their win, three points off sixth spot. Freiburg were left in 14th, five points clear of the relegation play-off place.
