It was a one-sided contest in the end, as Fulham stroll to a 5-0 win on the opening day of the season. They'll face tougher tests, no doubt, but Martin Jol will be delighted with his side's performance today.
Surely the officials will put Norwich out of their misery sooner rather than later as we edge closer to 90 minutes.
Turner is lucky to escape a red card as he hacks down Rodallega inside the area. Sidwell steps up and dispatches it emphatically past Ruddy - superb penalty.
Pilkington goes down inside the penalty area and looks for a penalty against Riether, but the referee tells him to get to his feet.
The atmosphere has gone a little subdued at the Cottage, despite the score, such is the ease at which they have won this game.
Meanwhile, Elliot Bennett, an earlier substitution for Snodgrass, is struggling to continue. Norwich have made all three changes.
The Cottagers continue to stroke about, they remain in cruise control and should have no problems seeing this though unscathed.
A long ball from the Norwich defence sails hopelessly out of play, which just about sums up their overall performance.
Duff cuts in from the right and drills a low effort at goal, but Norwich get plenty of bodies in the way.
Riise, one of many excellent Fulham performers today, is as eager as anyone to add to this lead as he bombs down the left flank yet again.
Schwarzer is solid and reliable with another take - Fulham have been fantastic in all departments today.
Superb goal from, Fulham as Dembele picks out Petric, who backheels for the run of Kacaniklic, who slots underneath Ruddy - excellent build up.
No signs of any changes from the Fulham bench, but Martin Jol can afford to give a few run outs as the hosts are strolling to the finish line.
Schwarzer is sharp off his line to boot a through-ball into touch. Fulham have been first to almost everything today.
Holt drills a low cross into the box but Pilkington fails to wrap his foot around it and Fulham have a goal-kick.
Is there any way back for Norwich now? It's difficult to foresee. Meanwhile, Fulham fans chant 'who needs Clint Dempsey?'
Petric picks up possession around 30 yards out, takes a touch and drills a deflected shot beyond Ruddy and into the top corner. Turner turned his back on the shot and his deflection could have prevented a goal had he been braver.
Ruiz's cross is headed away by Norwich, who haven't really made the start to the second half they would have wanted.
Norwich reclaim possession but Morison has little in support and is forced into a tame effort at goal.
Riise continues his impressive first half with a powerful run down the left flank before pulling back for Kacaniklic, who scuff his shot at goal.
Pilkington gets a little carried away and shoots from distance, but it's always sailing high and wide.
Morison should ease the pressure on Holt up front for the visitors, who really need a bright start to this half.

Holt has been a little isolated in fairness to him, and the big man has had to drop deep a number of times in order to see the ball and bring other Norwich players into the game.
Duff whipped in the corner for Petric's goal, he's the man to have in your fantasy football team so far today. A goal and an assist already on the opening day of the Premier League.
Incidentally, it was Riise who provided the assist for Duff's opener, and what an opener it was too. Fulham are worthy of their lead at the break, but Norwich will be frustrated they didn't make more of a decent spell before falling two down.
One minute will be added at the end of the half, and Martin Jol will be delighted with this scoreline.
Ruiz whips the ball over the wall and towards the target, but it's a little central and Ruddy comfortably tips it over the bar.
Dembele charges forward and wins a freekick around 25 yards from goal, Norwich are in danger of crumbling here.
Ruiz makes a superb run and shot, forcing a corner, from which Petric glances a delightful header over the line as Fulham score a second against the run of play.
The home side are getting frustrated as Norwich continue to hog possession, Fulham would take half-time now.
Norwich are back on the ball and will want to make this spell of possession count as we approach half-time.
The corner comes to little, with Norwich winning a free-kick following some pushing inside the area.
Norwich are coming back into things here with Holt playing a key role in a positive link up with Snodgrass.
Eventually, it is Snodgrass but he bends it high and wide, bringing ironic cheers from the home crowd.
Dembele holds up play superbly, inviting plenty of Fulham players forward. The home side are now dominating.
Well, it had been coming these past five minutes, but there was nothing Ruddy could have done about that.
Riise plays a delightful cross-field pass towards Duff, who is deemed marginally onside, before the Irish winger controls beautifully and pokes past Ruddy into the bottom corner.
It's Petric's turn this time as he almost beats Ruddy at the near post, but the keeper is at full stretch to deny him, conceding a corner in the process.
Ruiz tests Ruddy immediately after and the Canaries keeper is once again equal to the test. Fulham have come to life!
Riise forces Ruddy into a sharp save as the Norwegian drives forward and drills an angled, low shot which the Norwich keeper parries clear.
Ruddy fluffs a left-foot clearance, hitting Ruiz, who attempts to lob the goalkeeper on the rebound but lofts it over the bar and into the stand.
From the resulting corner, Fulham come away with possession. It was a nice move from the visitors before, though.
Holt cushions a pass for Surman, who attempts to squeeze one in at the near post only to be denied by Schwarzer.
Ruddy collects a disappointing delivery from Fulham's perspective and the Canaries embark on their own spell of possession.
15 minutes in and we're still goalless at the Cottage, but the hosts have looked the likelier to break the deadlock.
Riise is adjudged to have shoved Snodgrass to the deck after initially showing some inventive skill in controlling a long, diagonal ball.
Duff bursts through on goal but Turner recovers to force him wide and, in the end, the Irishman's cross is too close to Ruddy.
Snodgrass proves he's more than an attacking midfielder with an expertly-timed challenge to win possession for the visitors.
Hangeland finds himself free at the opposite end, but he miscues his header this time and the Canaries hook clear.
