Another Fulham fan has been in touch via email, but he disagrees with the earlier comment. MIchael Stypulkoski says: "While we haven't looked great this season, we picked up an away win in our first match and were in line for a draw at Newcastle until a late Ben Arfa goal. Yes, we were thumped by Arsenal at the Cottage in between those, but that can happen when we play the top sides. We brought in new players (Taarabt, Bent, Parker) at the end of the transfer window, they just need time to figure it out. I'm keeping the faith - COYW!"
Not the greatest half of football by any stretch of the imagination but Fulham fans won't be complaining. This could still go either way though in the second-half as the teams make their way back onto the field.
The referee signals for half-time at Craven Cottage and it's Fulham who lead at the break. Steve Sidwell's strike separates the two sides in what has been a fairly underwhelming affair so far. 1-0.

West Brom are defending very well so far, they've got men behind the ball and Fulham just can't quite get the quality on the final ball.
Maybe that's what we needed; things seem to have livened up a bit now with Fulham looking to mount an attack.
Almost spoke too soon then... Chris Brunt tries a speculative effort which just evades the post with David Stockdale flying across goal. Best chance of the game so far.
Fulham have the ball though and although there hasn't been any real chances, they're probably the team you'd fancy to open the scoring based on the opening exchanges.

Anichebe slightly mis-times his run and is flagged for offside when through on goal. Looked to be a close call.
First effort of the game as Bryan Ruiz fires wide on the volley after Patjim Kasami's cross found its way to him on the edge of the area.

Thanks to Fulham fan Alan Potter who's emailed in. He says: "We need to get 3 points today. We've had a poor start to the season and Jol already looks like he's out of ideas. If we can't perform against West Brom at the Cottage then a relegation we will be in at the end of the season . . . Instead of a predicted top half finish?"
There's just over 20 minutes remaining to kick-off at Craven Cottage, so in the meantime, why not have a read of our preview of today's game?
