Five brilliant penalties from South Korea. Daniel Sturridge the unfortunate one to see his kick saved. Good effort from the team but a familiar ending for many British fans.
Sturridge does well but then has the chance to lay the ball back for Ramsey. Instead he flashes a shot well wide.
Slack pass by Giggs as Team GB look to attack. It allows Park a chance at the other end but his shot is weak and straight at Butland.
Plenty of possession for Team GB. They look dodgy at times at the back but they've taken control of the midfield as the game starts to stretch. Will they have that one chance though.
Good start to this second period from GB but Caulker is ruled to have fouled there and it gives South Korea the chance to craft an attack.
Ramsey tries to find Sturridge in the right channel. Willing run but well tracked. Team GB pushing hard for the winner.
Hopeful from Sturridge as helps the ball into the box but Sinclair has got on the end of it but his cut back from the left is cleared.
Excellent pressing by Cleverley -he wins the ball and lays off to Ramsey. But Ramsey looks very tired and loses it.
Misunderstanding between Giggs and Cleverley and the deadball is wasted in bizarre fashion. The veteran seeing a run that wasn't there.
Then at the other end Butland saves smartly after an attack down the right channel and then Taylor is outjumped for the rebound but the header goes just wide.
GB get to the byline down the left but the cut back misses the advancing midfielders. Encouraging signs.
Much more even game after the interval with half-chances at both ends. Neither could find the winner and it'll be a test of fitness and nerve now.
Sturridge has an opening inside the box but declines the shot in favour of a pass to the offside Cleverley. Last chance of the 90 possibly.
Danger in the box as Team GB struggle to clear. Then Sturridge tries to break quickly but his pass is blocked. Both teams looking for a winner.
Clever ball from Giggs finds Cleverley and then Sturridge swings a left-footed cross in from the right but there is nobody attacking the ball.
Tired legs out there now. Giggs is fouled and then he takes the free-kick quickly but Ramsey is crowded out in the box. There was an opening there but the midfielder just turned into trouble.
Chance! Cross to the far post finds Ki free with Butland nowhere but he can only put the ball back across the face of goal.
Great Britain continuing to pass the ball and make South Korea work. Excellent work finds Ramsey in space in the centre but he's closed down well and forced to concede a foul.
Wonderful ball from Cleverley is fired across goal but Sturridge doesn't move. It comes out to Bertrand on the other flank and his cross eludes everyone. Then Dawson blasts in a shot but it's deflected for a corner. Drama.
Quiet passage of play. So little quality on show. But then Sturridge makes a good run down the left channel and wins a corner.
Taylor concedes a corner. Another chance for South Korea to swing a cross in with Richards now absent.
That's a jittery early touch for the new goalkeeper as he slips. It allows GB to build pressure and Ramsey wins a free-kick on the left wing.
Best move of the game as Bellamy, Ramsey and Sturridge combine but a last-gasp challenge denies the Chelsea striker.
Taylor goes central with Cleverley covering at right-back for Richards, who is still off the field. Ki has the chance to shoot but fires over. GB getting away with this period of having 10 men.
Cleverley whips the ball in and Richards nearly gets there ahead of the keeper. Foul given but looks a harsh call as Richards just about got there first. Would have been a corner.
Better from Sinclair. Beats one man and is fouled by the next. Good chance for Team GB to deliver a ball into the area.
First period of possession for South Korean now but Team GB defending well and the visitors are getting nowhere. Evenly balanced now.
Bellamy does well to find Ramsey but the Arsenal man's crossfield pass is too strong for Sinclair. Easy ball that; poor decision to float it.
Sturrdige buys a free-kick and Bellamy engineers space down the right. It's an inviting cross but Cleverley cannot get a touch at the near post. Worth a lunge there from the United man but the chance is gone.
Good through-ball from South Korea but Butland is off his line well to claim. That will boost his confidence.
The players are back on the field and we'll be underway shortly. Pearce has Giggs on the bench but he'll also be looking for more from the XI he sent out there to start with. Here we go...
Half-time: The referee blows his whistle and that's the end of the first half. A strange one. South Korea impressive but if it were not for Butland's error and Ramsey's missed penalty they could be two goals down. Fascinatingly poised, I believe they say.
Missed penalty! Ramsey goes the other way this time but it's saved and he cannot get to the rebound. Huge chance blown.
Penalty! Sturridge finds a gap and goes down. Foul is given and Team GB have the chance to take the lead.
Still some sloppy stuff though. First Allen wastes a great chance to put Sturridge through and then Bellamy gives the ball away.
Allen keeps the ball though and a good one-two between Bellamy and Sturridge gives the Welshman the chance to cross. He does so but the ball ricochets back off him for a goal-kick. More urgency from Team GB, at least.
That goal was coming. A crossfield pass caught out Taylor and a neat lay-off gave South Korea a yard to shoot. Even so, it should have been saved.
Goal! Ji Dong-Won! Left-footed shot is close to Butland but he misses it with the punch. Awful goalkeeping error, sadly.
Corner to South Korea but it's over everyone. Still the better side and you feel if they get the delivery right there's a goal for them.
Messy passage of play as possession is surrendered by both sides. Looks like this could be a long night.
Allen works hard to snuff out danger in his own half but eventually concedes a free-kick. Another chance for South Korea to swing in a cross.
GB keep possession well before Caulker decides to go long and hit Sturridge. The ball bounces back to Betrand and he fires a well-struck half-volley just over.
Excellent pressing once more and Taylor can only knock the ball out of play. Can South Korea keep this up?
Team GB just need to stick at this task and find a foothold in this game. Sturridge working hard but isolated at the moment.
Chance! The ball comes in from Park Jong-Woo and is headed over from close in by Park Chu-Young. Good opportunity for the Arsenal man.
Nice one-two gets South Korea away down the right before Sinclair foolishly bundles his man to the ground to concede a free-kick.
The subsequent corner is cleared but comes back into the box twice before Park Jong-Woo shoots over the bar.
Save! Ji Dong-Won buys a yard on the edge of the box and swivels to fire a left-footed shot on goal but Butland saves well to his right.
Better from GB but then Taylor attempts an ambitious ball to Bellamy down the line that just wasn't on. Out for a South Korea goal-kick.
Allen and Cleverley coming deep to try and get the ball but the pressing against them is proving tough to deal with and getting the ball to the front three looks a real struggle at the moment for Pearce's side.
A poor kick from Butland allows South Korea to press forward again but this time they play an ambitious pass and it runs out for a GB goal-kick.
This is good work from South Korea. Easy to see why they only conceded once in the group games. Knocking the ball around and not allowing Team GB to control things.
Sinclair is adjudged to have dribbled that ball out of play on the left flank. The crowd aren't impressed by the decision. Partisan.
That's taken all the momentum out of this one - and that's probably a good thing for the visitors. No chances in the early stages.
Scruffy period of play as the sides swap possession. Now we have a delay as a Korean player is down injured. Looks like a nasty hand injury.
Park Chu-Young with a dismal effort. He appeared to scuff it completely and the ball trickles into the wall. Easily cleared.
Risky pass from Allen across his own area and Cleverley is forced to commit the foul. Free-kick opportunity coming up.
We get through the first minute without the Koreans getting a touch but Bellamy can't keep that in and it's a throw-in for South Korea.
South Korea didn't exactly light up Group B - they had two goalless draws in their three matches. This could be a tight one.
Our friends at Sky Bet make Great Britain even money favourites for this one. South Korea are 14/5 and the draw is available at 9/4.
So Stuart Pearce names an unchanged side from the one that beat Uruguay in the group stages. That means Ryan Giggs is on the bench and Craig Bellamy will again captain the team.
The winners of this game will face favourites Brazil who have just beaten Honduras 3-2. Signs of vulnerability there and Team GB will fancy their chances of causing an upset if they can just succeed where the women failed and get past the last-eight stage.
Great Britain: Butland; Taylor, Richards, Caulker, Bertrand; Ramsey, Allen, Cleverley; Bellamy, Sturridge, Sinclair.
