Mustapha Yatabare's stoppage-time goal earned Guingamp their first league win in 11 attempts at the expense of Nice.

Mustapha Yatabare's stoppage-time goal earned Guingamp their first league win in 11 attempts at the expense of Nice. The promoted side made a bright start to life in Ligue 1, flirting with the European places through the autumn, but have slipped towards the relegation zone having failed to win a game since November. Jocelyn Gourvennec's men totally dominated 14th-placed Nice at the Stade du Roudourou and would have been understandably vexed if Yatabare had not found a way through at the death. Visiting goalkeeper David Ospina - the only man keeping Nice in the tie for 90 minutes - was so incensed by the stoppage-time goal that he earned himself a red card by vehemently contesting its legitimacy with the referee. Yatabare was a constant menace to Nice and came close to opening the scoring in the 10th minute, his header from Thibault Giresse's corner sailing just over the bar. Giresse then found Claudio Beauvue in front of the D but the Guadelopean took too long to pick his spot and missed the target. Mana Dembele drilled the ball inches wide of the mark six minutes before the break and, on the stroke of half-time, headed straight at Ospina from a Giresse cross. Guingamp continued to turn the screw when play resumed and Ospina did well to snaffle the ball off Giresse's feet after the midfielder had been put through by Yatabare. The duo combined again on the hour mark and, in a move that resembled their early attempt, Yatabare nodded Giresse's corner wide of goal. Ospina was being left to fend for himself and pulled off a pair of miraculous saves, his quick reflexes keeping a bullet header from Yatabare out before Beauvue's snapshot suffered the same fate. The Nice stopper thought he had earned his side an improbable point when he saw 90 minutes appear on the Roudourou scoreboard, but it was not to be. Four minutes into stoppage time Yatabare was on point to tuck home the loose ball after Ospina had parried Christophe Mandanne's attempt from a one-on-one encounter. While Yatabare ran to the stands in celebration, Ospina fronted up to the referee and saw red for his trouble.
