Full-time: That's it. Great comeback from United. They showed their defensive frailties but Wayne Rooney was the key - having a hand in the first, scoring two and then assisting Shinji Kagawa for the winner.
What a chance for Nani to score a fifth. Quick one-two with Valencia but his chip is too nonchalant and just wide.
United passing the ball nicely now and going for a fifth. Impressive impact by the likes of Anderson and Valencia.
Anderson finds Rooney who feeds Kagawa. He is in space but delays by cutting on his left and firing weakly at Zieler.
Goal! But United have scored from this one. Superb free-kick from Wayne Rooney. Curled into the top-left corner with Zieler motionless.
That was some finish from Abdellaoue. Got extra momentum on that right-wing cross with his back-flicked finish.
Pinto fails to deal with De Gea's long ball and then fouls Hernandez in an advances position. Chance for Nani and Giggs to conjure something.
Tricky run from Kagawa finds Giggs and he nearly dinks the ball through to Hernandez but Hannover clear.
Misplaced pass from Keane allows Hannover to break. Kagawa gets back to help but then Cleverley appears to commit a foul in the box. Nothing given despite shouts from the crowd.
Great turn from Nani finds Giggs on the right. Delicious ball from the veteran and Hannover must concede a corner.
Vidic should deal with a long ball but somehow the ball is hooked back into the United box. Impressive pressure from the home side but eventually they concede a free-kick.
Goal! Corner comes through to the other flank and when the cross comes in from the left Karim Haggui heads past De Gea. The centre-back has only just come on.
Excellent play from Cleverley and Kagawa in the middle with the latter producing a beautiful pass to put Hernandez clear but the striker is just offside. Didn't need to be either.
Half-time. That's the end of the first half. Good game with United impressive. The goals were both tap-ins after each keeper spilled a shot but it's been quality stuff apart from that. United passing the ball well and there are more goals for them here.
Nani with another cut back after Rooney finds him out left well. But Kagawa's shot is blocked again.
Nani coming off the flank to give Carrick another option in midfield. Long sustained pressure from the Red Devils.
Sobiech tries the acrobatic at the other end as he attempts to latch onto a right-wing cross. He misses the ball and it comes out to Rausch who shoots with his weaker right foot but Lindegaard saves well low to his right.
Nani takes it. He feigns to shoot but produces a quick pass to Hernandez who plays a one-two but Nani blasts the return way over.
Quality pass from Kagawa to Young but the cross is then behind the forwards. Cleverley is there to clean up and is fouled. Free-kick 25 yards out.
That spell leads to Young crossing for Hernandez but the forward is offside... and his header was well saved by Zieler anyway.
Possession football now as Carrick feeds little passes in to Cleverley and then Kagawa - pulling the Hannover midfield out of position.
Keane with a driven cross but it's blocked. United may have conceded here but it has been a strong display. They haven't scored twice in a game so far in pre-season but you wouldn't bet against them here.
Goal! Nani does well to cut the ball back to Rooney. His shot is saved but Hernandez is there to knock home the rebound from close range.
Chance again! Keane again! Goal is open but he passes wide. Head on his hands. The youngster could have had two in a minute.
Chance! Corner is taken short and finds Kagawa. He crosses for Keane who surely can poke home but his effort is blocked on the line.
Nani coming back to help out and then United try to break out but the Portuguese winger cannot find Rooney.
Nice skill from Hernandez but he loses it in a dangerous area. Better from Hannover now but Carrick and Vidic dealing well with the balls coming in.
Nice one-two between Rooney and Cleverley. The latter's shot ricochets out to Hernandez and his cross is blocked for a corner.
Even game now. Cleverley and Kagawa trying to get hold of the ball in the middle but not getting a great deal of room.
Long ball looking for Sobiech. Evra is back to head to the keeper and does so well - nearly overhitting it but Lindegaard stretches to catch.
Good work from Rausch and Hannover having some joy in behind Evra on the United left. But this time the full-back shepherds the ball out and that's a goal-kick to the visitors.
Vicious left-footed corner and Carrick does well to head away near the line with Lindegaard stationary.
Cleverley does well to sweep up and then Rooney turns smartly before showing great vision to put Hernandez in with the outside of his right foot. A desperate slide challenge denies the Mexican.
Second good interception from Carrick. He is growing into this defensive role and it'll help having Vidic alongside him. The Serb made his return from injury last week.
Rooney finds Hernandez on the right. He lays the ball off to Nani who shows good skill to beat his man but the cross is too near to Zieler and he collects.
Early touches for Cleverley and Kagawa. They are the midfield duo in this one so it'll be interesting to see how the new signing gets on in a 'two'.
The players enter the pitch to a good reception and we'll be underway after the pre-match handshakes.
Fantastic crowd in Hannover for the game. Atmosphere building and the players will be out very soon.
With just three goals from five games in pre-season so far, that's an issue United will be looking to address tonight.
Tom Cleverley starts after returning from Olympic duty. Ryan Giggs is also on the bench. Michael Carrick, who has earned an England recall, will play centre-back once again.
Hannover 96: Zieler; Chahed, Avevor, Eggimann, Pander; Nikci, Andreasen, Hauger, Rausch; Sobiech, Schlaudraff.
Man Utd: Lindegaard; M Keane, Vidic, Carrick, Evra; Nani, Cleverley, Kagawa, Young; Rooney, Hernandez.
