Darrell Clarke: Bristol Rovers stay extended
Image: Darrell Clarke: Will be hoping for a change in fortune

Hartlepool will be without midfielder Michael Woods for the home clash with Bristol Rovers.

Woods was booked for the fifth time this season in Saturday's 2-1 victory at Yeovil and is likely to be replaced by Brad Walker, who came off the bench to grab the winner in that game.

Striker Rakish Bingham faces a late fitness test on a hamstring problem which ruled him out at Huish Park.

Carl Magnay has completed a three-match suspension and should come back into Ronnie Moore's starting line-up having impressed following his summer arrival from Grimsby.

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke, who played for Hartlepool between 2001 and 2007, could shuffle his pack after watching his side slip to a fourth defeat in five games at the weekend.

The 2-1 home loss to leaders Portsmouth means Rovers have picked up only one point out of a possible 15 and that could force Clarke's hand.

Pirates captain Mark McChrystal has been on the bench in the last two games after recovering from a knee injury and is in line for his first appearance of the season.
