Image: Michael Duckworth: Could make return

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Hartlepool United and Newport County at Victoria Park.

Hartlepool defender Michael Duckworth could return to the squad for the home game against Newport. Duckworth has been sidelined since New Year's Day after having a double hernia operation, but returned to full training this week and has an outside chance of being included among the substitutes. Fellow defender Neil Austin is battling to be fit after missing out last week due to a toe injury, but Jordan Richards will continue if the right-back fails to make it. Pools, nine points off a play-off place, are bidding for back-to-back league wins for the first time since early November. Newport look set to hand a debut to goalkeeper Elliott Parrish when they make the long trip to Hartlepool. The Bristol City shot-stopper arrived on loan earlier this week in search of regular first team football and with Exiles pair Lenny Pidgeley and Jamie Stephens sidelined he will step straight into the starting line-up against Pools. And striker Chris Zebroski could hand manager Justin Edinburgh a huge boost by returning to the matchday squad for the first time since early November having been sidelined with a dislocated kneecap, an injury they initially feared could end the former Oxford strriker's campaign. Fellow long-term injury absentee Byron Anthony is also available after recovering from a broken leg suffered in August but Ismail Yakubu misses out through injury.
