Lisbie could face former club, Perkins primed for debut

Ipswich Town striker Kevin Lisbie could face his former club, while David Perkins is poised for his Colchester United debut. Lisbie left Colchester for Ipswich in the summer and could be given the chance to lead the line in Tuesday's Carling Cup second round tie. Town boss Jim Magilton is set to ring the changes after Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Wolves, with Alex Bruce definitely out after being sent off at the weekend. Shane Supple will start in goal in place of Richard Wright, while David Norris could feature as he looks to return to full fitness after an ankle injury. David Wright is sidelined with an ankle injury, while fringe players Pim Balkestein, Chris Casement and Liam Trotter could all be recalled.

Colchester news

Colchester are set to give Perkins his first appearance for the club following his summer arrival from Rochdale. The midfielder has missed the first four games of the season through suspension after his red card during Rochdale's League Two play-off semi-final at the end of last term. Perkins could replace Kem Izzet, who came off with a knock towards the end of Saturday's 3-1 win at Swindon, while Pat Baldwin is out. Scott Vernon and Clive Platt will continue in attack if record signing Steven Gillespie is ruled out due to an ongoing thigh injury.
