Leeds United v Bristol City

Samuel Saiz, Gaetano Berardi and Liam Cooper will all serve the last games of their various suspensions as Leeds take on Bristol City at Elland Road on Sunday (kick-off 4.30pm).

Leeds boss Paul Heckingbottom will also be without Conor Shaughnessy due to an ankle injury which could require surgery. Deadline-day signing Tyler Roberts will be sent for another scan to determine the extent of his shin and ankle problem.

But there was some better news for Heckingbottom with Ouasim Bouy (ribs) and Kemar Roofe returning to training. Roofe has been through the concussion protocols following a head injury suffered against Sheffield United.

Nathan Baker serves the last game of his three-match ban as Bristol City look to bounce back from squandering a 3-0 lead against Sunderland in their last game. Italian defender Eros Pisano, who has not featured for the club since October 31, is back in training after a hamstring injury but is not yet ready for a return to action.

Striker Milan Djuric (groin) is due to return to England this weekend after seeing a specialist in Italy. And midfielder Gary O'Neil (hamstring) is also nearing a return to action for the first time since August after playing for an hour for the under-23 side on Tuesday.

Opta stats

Leeds have won each of their last six home matches against Bristol City in all competitions.

The Robins haven't won at Elland Road in the second tier since March 1921, losing nine of 10 visits since.

Leeds' run of six consecutive home wins in all competitions against Bristol City is their third longest current run, behind only their seven wins against Bournemouth and nine wins against Swansea.

Live EFL

Leeds have had just nine different goalscorers this season - the joint-fewest in the Championship (also Ipswich).

The Whites are winless in seven league games (D2 L5) - they last endured a longer such run back in November 2014.

Bristol City have lost two of their last three away league games, as many as in their previous 15 combined.

Prutton's prediction

Leeds' win at Ashton Gate was arguably their best performance of the season. The problem for Thomas Christiansen, however, was that result came in between three defeats on either side, and that's one of the reasons that Paul Heckingbottom is now in charge.

The former Barnsley man didn't get off to the best of starts at Sheffield United last week, and will hope to get up and running in his first home game. Bristol City remain one of the toughest sides in the division this season and I think this will be an entertaining draw.

David Prutton predicts: 2-2 with Pierre-Michel Lasogga to score first (60/1 with Sky Bet)
