Leyton Orient took another step towards League One safety when they followed up their midweek win over leaders Norwich with a comfortable 2-0 victory against relegated Stockport.
Stockport earned five early corners which failed to produce a threat, while Orient had a 37th minute goal from striker Scott McGleish disallowed for offside.
County goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams dropped a cross from home midfielder Adam Chambers which might have been punished, but he atoned for his error when he turned away a shot from Orient defender Charlie Daniels.
Orient broke the deadlock when Fon Williams could only push a shot from Orient midfielder Sean Thornton into the path of striker Ryan Jarvis, who moved in from the left to slot home his seventh goal of the season after 53 minutes.
Orient went two up when defender Eric Lichaj gathered a ball from McGleish and advanced to fire home from outside the box for his first goal in six outings for the club with 10 minutes left.
Stockport's showing was in keeping with their bottom-of-the-table status and they did not manage a shot on the Londoner's goal during a drab contest.
