Group B to go down to wire with three teams still in contention

Trabzonspor will hope to overthrow Ligue 1 champions Lille and make their UEFA Champions League debut one to remember by advancing to the knockout rounds. The Turkish side sit a point ahead of their French hosts in Group B, with the victor at the Stade Metropole set to follow pool winners Inter Milan into the last 16. However, a draw could allow CSKA Moscow, bottom of the group but on five points like Lille, to slip through and clinch second place. After leading Lille to victory in Moscow last time out, coach Rudi Garcia said: "The good thing about our position is that there are no two ways to play this match. "We won't change our game and will respect our approach of attacking football. Our objective is to reach the last 16. "We had to win our last two matches to keep our hopes alive: we won our 'semi-final' in Moscow, and tomorrow will be our 'final', against Trabzonspor." Lille midfielder Joe Cole, on a season-long loan from Liverpool, thinks progression will prove a point to their critics after the French side managed just two points from their first four matches. "I think it's a very important game for the club to show its progress by playing in the Champions League," he told French TV programme Telefoot. "I think we were not very lucky at the start of competition. People doubted us but we have the opportunity to change course and to qualify, which would be a great achievement for Lille."

      Suspended

Lille will be without David Rozehnal for the clash as he is serving a one-game suspension. Tulio De Melo has been ruled out with a pulled thigh muscle, while Garcia has said that Benoit Pedretti (hip) "isn't fully fit", but Idrissa Gueye (hand) could feature. Marko Basa is back after a shoulder injury. Trabzonspor coach Senol Gunes has confirmed he has a full squad "except for Robert Vittek", who is out until the New Year with a knee ligament injury. The manager added: "Nobody believed in us at the start of the competition, but now we're in position to qualify for the last 16, which would be a great success for the club. "A draw could qualify us, so we are in a better situation than Lille before the match. "It's up to us to seize this opportunity, because we're not here to be just sparring partners."
