COVENTRY MAKE HISTORY
IMPS SECURE PLAY-OFF BERTH
They gave it absolutely everything, but in the end the second goal failed to materialise, meaning the Stags miss out on the play-off by just three points. Kane Hemmings cancelled out Karl Ahearne-Grant's opener, but it wasn't enough to beat Lincoln to the top-seven.
LINCOLN SEAL SKY BET LEAGUE TWO PLAY-OFF PLACE
Tom Pett's stunning volley secured a 1-1 draw over Yeovil, ensuring the Imps extend their season with a Sky Bet League Two play-off berth.
COVENTRY SEAL SKY BET LEAGUE TWO PLAY-OFF PLACE
BARNET RELEGATED FROM SKY BET LEAGUE TWO
Morecambe are safe, Coventry are in the play-offs and Barnet are DOWN. The Shrimps have been a Football League side for 10 years, and they will be again for another season.
The Sky Blues have finished in the top six of any division for the first time since 1970. Agony for the Bees!
We're into TWO MINUTES of added time.
It's all over at the Hive, and the players are out on their feet as they await news from the Ricoh Arena. The ball has been kicked into an empty stand there, and nobody has gone to fetch it!
GRIMSBY HAVE A THIRD
JJ Hooper seals his hat-trick in superb fashion and Grimsby now lead 3-0 at Forest Green. Michael Jolley's side ending the season with a flourish.
GOAL! BARNET 3-0 CHESTERFIELD (Nicholls, 88)
Martin Allen has worked miracles for Barnet, but it looks like this time he's going to fall just short. Alex Nicholls adds gloss to this fine performance and scoreline against Chesterfield, and it's a fine strike into the top right corner.
"As soon as that Lincoln goal went in it was like someone turned the volume down. They know what's going on," says Russ Taylor on Soccer Saturday. Mansfield's play-off hopes are fading fast.
CAMBRIDGE ADD TWO MORE
Cambridge now lead 5-0 against Port Vale. Billy Waters has their fifth and they're ending the season with a real flurry.
Elsewhere, Grimsby now lead 2-0 at Forest Green. JJ Hooper has his second of the afternoon.
And some scenes as James Dunne is sent off for Swindon, and JIMMY Dunne goes for Accrington. Both down to 10 men now but Swindon still lead 3-0.
SAVE! Coventry come close twice in quick succession. First, Bayliss forces Roche into a good stop before Clarke-Harris meets Liam Kelly's cross but he heads over the bar!
GOAL! BARNET 2-0 CHESTERFIELD (Brindley, 81)
The Barnet fans are singing, "We only need five more!" Richard Brindley has his first goal in a Bees shirt and it’s a neat finish, trickery over on the right before firing home at the near post. Barney are still going down courtesy of an inferior goal difference to Morecambe.
A 7-0 win would keep Barnet up if Morecambe draw at Coventry.
GOAL! LINCOLN 1-1 YEOVIL (Pett, 77)
What a goal from Tom Pett! Top defending from Mugabi to steer Williams' ball away from danger, but it only falls as far as the Lincoln man, who hits a beautiful effort home on the half-volley from 20 yards! Will that secure a play-off berth for the Imps?!
GOAL DISALLOWED! Mansfield have the ball in the net through Hemmings once more, but it's been chalked off after a marginal offside decision from the referee!
"It's calmed down, but Crawley are looking dangerous at the moment. Mansfield are throwing everything at this and leaving themselves really exposed," says Russ Taylor.
RELEGATION STATE OF PLAY
We've got just over 10 minutes remaining in the two games concerning the relegation places in League Two.
As it stands, Barnet are joining Chesterfield in being relegated. The Hive will be a scene of dejection while the Ricoh will see all concerned going home happy.
Barnet lead Chesterfield 1-0, but Dickie Davies reports: "All the fans below me are on their phones, they're desperate for Coventry to score. Chesterfield aren't looking like a threat."
Paul Walsh, at the Ricoh, reports: "To be fair, Coventry have just had a throw-in deep in Morecambe's half. But the game is being played in the middle of the pitch. I don't suppose if this ends 0-0 either side will be too bothered."
EXETER BREAK THE DEADLOCK
Exeter are in the play-offs whatever happens but can guarantee themselves a home game in the second leg today. They've taken a 1-0 lead over Colchester thanks to Robbie Simpson.
Elsewhere, Cambridge are cruising to victory against Port Vale. Brad Halliday has made it 3-0.
CHANCES! The second Mansfield goal is on the way, you'd imagine. They really are cranking it up a notch, but Mersin is starring once more, first pushing Hemmings' low strike wide, before his point-blank save forces Doherty to head over the bar!
BARNET 1-0 CHESTERFIELD
OVER! It's fair to say that nobody is taking any chances between Coventry and Morecambe. No matter what Barnet do, they can do nothing about the events, and the intensity, at the Ricoh.
Akpa-Akpro crosses from the right, Akinde rises highest, but sends his header over.
LINCOLN 0-1 YEOVIL
Lincoln will be feeling nervy now. One more Mansfield goal and they're out of the play-off places.
GOAL! MANSFIELD 1-1 CRAWLEY (Hemmings, 64)
Kane Hemmings has missed his fair share of chances in this one, but he's just struck the vital equaliser, heading home after some excellent build-up play! The Stags move to within two points of Lincoln in seventh, with less than half an hour remaining...
OFF THE BAR! Rhead battles for the second ball following Waterfall's blocked header, but as he connects, the ball cannons off the woodwork and away to safety! Will Lincoln be able to muster an equaliser here?
There's 15,874 in attendance at the Ricoh but will the 748 Morecambe fans be celebrating come full-time?
There has been a stoppage in play after Jordan Shipley went down with an injury, but there's been very few clear-cut chances this second period.
Will this indeed be a case of two sides settling for a convenient draw?
LUTON DOWN TO TEN
Danny Hylton's season ends with a red card. The Luton man will miss the first game of their League One campaign next season after picking up a second yellow at Notts County. Still goalless there though.
Elsewhere, Crewe lead again against Cheltenham. It's 2-1 now thanks to another Shaun Miller goal.
OFF THE LINE! The Imps are inches away from scrambling an equaliser following Eardley's ball into the box, but a solid defensive showing sees the ball end up in Krysiak's hands!
MANSFIELD 0-1 CRAWLEY
The action is hotting up in this one, but Crawley remain in charge. "I think there will be goals in this one and it could go either way," says Soccer Saturday reporter Russ Taylor.
David Flitcroft will certainly hope's right...
Barnet lead but it's not enough right now. They need Morecambe to lose.
CLOSE! The hosts are playing well with Nelson the next to come close. The defender pounced on a loose ball in the six-yard box but he can only fire over the bar!
CHANCE! Morecambe come close to breaking the deadlock as Kevin Ellison runs down the left and looks to beat Burge at his near post, but he brushes the side netting!
SAVE! Mersin is having the game of his life this afternoon! He's making save after save and has just tipped Angol's flicked header past the post. Top performance from the stopper.
CHANCE! Yet another opportunity for the Stags goes begging as Hemmings steers Potter's cross off target! The atmosphere is building at the One Call Stadium and you feel a goal is coming...
GRIMSBY LEAD AT FOREST GREEN
This could have been a far nervier game at The New Lawn than it is this afternoon. But both sides have already secured their safety and it's Grimsby who lead against Forest Green. JJ Hooper with the opening goal there.
Elsewhere, Swindon now lead 3-0 against Accrington. The champions are clearly already on a well-deserved holiday.
CLOSE! The Bees come within inches of a second goal. Coulthirst shows great tenacity to win his side a corner and Sweeney heads the set piece narrowly wide of the right post!
Positive start to the second half from the hosts as Hemmings gets on the end of Hamilton's cross to the far post, but as he did early in the first few minutes of the game, Yusuf Mersin holds on to the header. Lots of work for the Stags to do, but they're approaching it well...
WIDE! Within seconds, Hemmings finds space on the far side of the area, but hits his effort wide of the mark!
