Highlights of Luton's 4-1 win over Exeter in Sky Bet League Two.

A double from top goalscorer Jack Marriott helped Luton finish the season on a high as they hammered Exeter 4-1 at Kenilworth Road.

The Hatters raced into a three-goal lead before half-time and held on to leapfrog the visitors and end the season in 11th place.

Luton went close early on when Cameron McGeehan was denied, while Marriott shot straight at goalkeeper James Hamon, but the hosts were indebted to a fine goal-line clearance by Glen Rea after Jayden Stockley took advantage of Elliot Justham's error.

Town took the lead after 27 minutes when McGeehan's free-kick clipped an Exeter defender and beat Hamon, who then had to tip over Stephen O'Donnell's left-footed effort.

Luton added a second six minutes later as a Jake Howells cross was met by Joe Pigott who looped a header against the crossbar and Marriott was waiting to nod home from close range.

It was 3-0 a minute later when Hamon failed to get enough on his clearance and Pigott picked up the rebound before curling superbly into the empty net from 30 yards.

Exeter gave themselves hope of a fightback two minutes into the second half thanks to Jayden Stockley's clinical diving header from Tom McCready's cross but Luton restored their three-goal advantage in the 63rd minute when Marriott swept into the bottom corner from 18 yards.

Marriott was denied a hat-trick as he fired against the outside of the post, while Jake Taylor put a free header straight at Justham.

The Hatters should have had a fifth only for Pigott to miss an open goal from three yards out, but they finished worthy winners.
