More views - Paul says: Just want a LFC win PLEASE....... YNWA... Or will Bourinho ruin another game ?????" Ayesha Ziya says: "Liverpool to win 3 nil. Simple. We will give mourinho a game to watch. YNWA"
MY VIEW - I think it will be a draw here today - Ba has been scoring of late and I reckon he will get the first goal in a 2-2 stalemate which pays a handsome 85/1 on the Sky Bet scorecast! Thanks for everyone else's predictions, not long to go now!
T Lumley says: "Just seen the Chelsea side and it looks really competitive espacially compared to what the media have been saying . Think Liverpool will have to dig deep . Might be their hardest match for some time but still think they can win maybe one nil."
"Yes the Chelsea team is "weakened" but it is still a strong line up. Lampard pushed further on is always a good thing. Chelsea, I think, won't let Liverpool start quick. I'm going for 2-1 to Chelsea." John - Chelsea Fan
Riain in Dublin says: "Been refreshing the score centre page all afternoon to see those line-ups. Now that I have I reckon Liverpool could run away with this one, I'm going to go for 4-1. Having said that, after watching that miserable game at Atletico midweek, I would not be surprised with a bore 0-0 if Mourinho's men can shut up shop." i agree with both those predictions Riain - that's what makes this so intriguing, can the Reds find a way through, or will they be held, like so many others?
"Apart from Kalas this is the Chelsea team I predicted...this will be a tough test for Chelsea BUT.... this is from a 1st team squad of which any 11 should be good enough to compete..." Neil Cheesman. I agree with you Neil, that team will be no pushover, Mourinho will demand nothing less.
Kevin, Liverpool fan, Lewisham says: "I'm nervous that by putting out a "weakened" team that it means the Chelsea players who don't usually get an opportunity to play will therefore be harder to beat as they will play harder to prove themselves 1st team material to Jose! Hope the Liverpool boys are not taking this for granted or could loose this! Keep focused!! (2-1 either way!)" That is a good point Kevin.
"Trying to decide if I watch the game or not. If I don't Liverpool will win 3:1 and if I do Chelsea will win 2:1. Being a Liverpool fan it's a tough decision! Is it just me that sees results going against them when you watch the match? Whatever happens I'll be following your excellent commentary via the Sky Sports Football app. Cheers, Lee." Now that is a conundrum Lee! If it was me I'd probably start watching the game but if Chelsea score, switch off and hope your other prediction comes true!
James Cuthbert says: "I hardly call Chelsea a weak team, Liverpool are starting with a teenager, not Chelsea, Liverpool are fielding an uncapped footballer, not Chelsea, even koalas has been capped at international level. Liverpool are fielding only 1 player over the age of 30 compared with Chelsea's 4 players and they have a £50m striker and £20m winger on their bench. We don't! No hiding place for mourinho!!"
One of our regulars, Chris Green from Huddersfield, says: "Liverpool to win 2-1, with Gerrard and Sterling scoring the goals." He also asks: "Are Man City out of the title race?" While they've got a chance, no way, anyone else got a view on this?
James in Portsmouth says: "Cant really see anything else happening than a liverpool win today, they will be too strong for my chelsea! ill go a 2-1 liverpool win, salah and score for chelsea, but sterling to get the other 2."
Fancy a bet? Sky Bet go 8/11 for a Liverpool win, 3/1 for the draw and 7/2 for a Chelsea victory. The 3-1 prediction many of you are going for is available at a handsome 11/1!
Neil says: "Won't go down without a fight 3-2 lampard 1st goal Liverpool defence is not great look at the stats COYB"
Ben says: "If we can beat Liverpool with that side... Jose Mourinho deserves a medal." He's got a few Ben, so you never know!
Paul Prince from Chester has bucked the 3-1 trend, saying: "Liverpool don't do drab but Jose has set this up for dull boring draw. Not expecting much from today. 0-0 for me."
Terry from Merseyside says: "Sterling 1st Goal, Liverpool 3 Chelsea 1." it seems everyone thinks it will be 3-1 to the Reds, anyone thinks the Blues can win?
Another 3-1 prediction from Martin Richmond, who says: "Very nervous Liverpool fan here but hoping that Brendan Rodgers' men do the business and move one step closer to that title! going for a 3-1 victory for Liverpool with Suarez, Gerrard and Sterling on target and Ba scoring for Chelsea."
Junaid says: "Hiya steve been waiting for thos since 8am cant sleep. Hoping mourinho puts kids on so liverpool can beat them. Going for 3-1 liverpool" You've the same prediction as Paul - I think you've got your wish with Kalas - 20-year-old on his full debut.
FIRST VIEW - "Can't see anything other than a 3-1 win for the reds! Gerrard or Suarez to score first please :-) c'mon you red men YNWA Paul Herdman" Cheers Paul, enjoy the game!
Teams - Liverpool name the same side which beat Norwich 3-2 last Sunday, but striker Daniel Sturridge returns to the bench after missing that match with a hamstring injury.
Teams - Chelsea's supposed weakened team to face Liverpool at Anfield shows seven changes from the midweek goalless draw at Atletico Madrid, but still includes the experience of Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Branislav Ivanovic. Injury denies Jose Mourinho of the services of goalkeeper Petr Cech and John Terry, while suspension rules out Ramires, but the Portuguese opts to leave out central defender Gary Cahill and give Tomas Kalas his Premier League debut after two previous substitute appearances in other competitions lasting a minute apiece.
Teams - Chelsea: Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Kalas, Ivanovic, Cole, Matic, Mikel, Salah, Lampard, Schurrle, Ba. Subs: Hilario, Ake, Cahill, Van Ginkel, Baker, Willian, Torres.
Teams - Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Skrtel, Sakho, Gerrard, Allen, Lucas, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez. Subs: Jones, Toure, Agger, Cissokho, Alberto, Aspas, Sturridge.
Welcome to Anfield where leaders Liverpool host second-placed Chelsea in a game which will go a long way to deciding this year's title. Can the Reds pull off win number 12 on the bounce in the league, or will the Blues frustrate Brendan Rodgers' side, just have they have done at Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City among others this season. Send your views / predictions for today's game to email@example.com and I will post up the best throughout the afternoon.
