Lyon closed the gap on the Ligue 1 frontrunners with a 3-0 home victory over relegation-threatened Nantes.
The defending champions have now moved to within four points of first-placed Marseille and Bordeaux, who sit second on goal difference.
Lyon, though, have played a game more than their rivals, while the defeat piles pressure on Nantes as matches run out.
The home side wasted little time in opening the scoring as Jean Makoun headed in from close range on six minutes.
Makoun then doubled his tally for the night shortly after the half-hour mark as he slotted a right-footed finish from six yards.
Lyon wrapped up the points with 11 minutes of the match remaining as Anthony Mounier got his head to a Kim Kallstrom cross.
