Full-time. That's the end of the game. A strange one as City dominated for long periods but only settled the match in stoppage time. A 3-1 win for the defending champions.
Goal! Late pressure from City and the ball comes to Dzeko in the right channel. He tries a shot with the outside of his boot and gets it very wrong... but it bounces off Tevez's outstretched foot and into the net! Game over.
Hart hits it long for Dzeko but his header goes through to Green. City not closing this one out well.
The City crowd are surprisingly nervy. Maybe it's the players who are worrying them. They're trying to slow things down now.
Bosingwa gives the ball away to Tevez and the ball comes out to Milner on the right. He has Dzeko free but his cross is poor and only finds Green.
More good pressure from QPR as Park and Zamora attempt a one-two inside the area. It comes out to Fabio but he wastes the ball. City players look tired now.
Granero crosses and puts the ball between Lescott and Hart. It's close to Nelsen again but he cannot get there. Warning signs for the champions.
Kompany has committed a foul just outside the left-edge of the area and it is another chance for QPR.
Granero crosses and finds Onuoha at the far post. He heads back across to Nelsen who tries to volley in but it is just wide. Great chance and if it had fallen to anyone else...
Onuoha and Kolarov both down after the latter clatters into the substitute. Hughes is livid on the sidelines. Not an awful challenge by any means but that is twice that the City man has jumped into opponents while on a booking.
Chance at the other end for Dzeko but he puts the ball wide when clean through. There was an offside flag.
City still vulnerable as the visitors break through Granero. He finds Park and QPR have a man over in this attack but Wright-Phillips sees his shot blocked. His cross is then a poor one and Fabio also wastes the chance to put the ball in the box.
They're a little open though. Now Bosingwa has a dip with his left foot from distance but Hart saves easily enough.
Toure tries to thread a pass through to Tevez with the outside of his foot but Nelsen does well to track the run.
City back controlling the ball in the centre of the park now. They won't risk making the same mistake again, surely?
Goal! QPR weren't level for long! Kolarov finds Tevez in the area and he hooks the ball into the centre with his left foot. Dzeko is there to head home from close range.
Goal! QPR equalise! Johnson does well on the edge of the box and his effort is deflected. Hart saves but Zamora is alert to head home the rebound.
Good play from QPR. Passing in City's half before unleashing Fabio down the left. His cross finds Zamora but his header under pressure is over the bar.
Possession play from City as they look for the opening. Then Toure tries to play the ball through to Dzeko but he is offside.
Woodwork! Silva breaks down the left and slips the ball through to Zabaleta. He attempts a curling left-footed effort that beats Green but hits the crossbar.
City try to break but Ferdinand clears. Kolarov jumps into the QPR defender and he is caught heavily. Mancini initially thinks Ferdinand is attempting to get the Serb sent off but he is still down.
QPR with some possession but it leads nowhere. The visitors would probably settle for this scoreline with 10 minutes to play in truth.
Chance! QPR give the ball away in midfield and Dzeko can run at the defence. He slides in Tevez who fires the ball at the near post from a tight angle and Green saves.
Half-time. That's it. City's domination was total and it was no surprise when Toure opened the scoring. After that, QPR improved but it will be difficult to recapture the spirit of May and get back into this one.
Pressure inside the QPR box. Zabaleta tries a one-two with Tevez but there isn't quite the space for that and the visitors clear.
Granero hangs the corner under the bar but it is cleared. When it comes back out to the QPR new boy he attempts a cross with his weaker left foot and it's a poor one.
Tevez takes on Fabio but the defender does well. The City man then handballs as QPR try to break quickly.
Tevez fires over from distance. Boos as Foy does not book Nelsen for the earlier challenge on Dzeko.
Dzeko fouled in the centre circle but referee Foy plays on. Neat interchange between Nasri and Silva but the ball is cleared.
Rodwell exchanges the ball with Tevez and runs through the middle. He has Dzeko in space but tries to lift the ball over Ferdinand and the defender blocks.
Kolarov then sweeps a pass to Silva on the break but he delays a little too long and his shot is blocked.
Park does well in the left-wing area and is fouled by Silva. This time QPR will put the ball in the box.
Ferdinand does well to cut out a through-ball and then is fouled by Kolarov as he attempts to bring the ball away. More even now.
Good work from Granero finds Park but he is crowded out. Some uncertainty between Lescott and Hart but City clear. QPR content to retain their shape and sit in the game.
Save! Silva effort is parried away by Green and then Nasri chance is blocked. Corner but it comes to nothing.
Best period of the game for the visitors as they at least compete in midfield. It leads to a left-footed effort from Granero that is comfortably saved by Hart to his left. Encouragement for QPR.
That's a foul by Zabaleta on Park and gives QPR the chance to put the ball in the box. Instead it is taken short only for Wright-Phillips to give the ball away.
City fans enjoying this now. Excellent move engineers space for Kolarov. He is in. Just square it for Dzeko and it's a goal... but he attempts a reverse pass to Tevez and doesn't get it right.
A little bit of possession now from QPR... they completed just 20 passes in the match prior to the goal.
Silva's corner to the back-post came back to Toure via a deflection and he drilled home. Hughes may be unhappy as the previous corner (that led to this one) was wrongly given... QPR would be stretching it to complain though. City utterly dominant.
This is a first chance for QPR. And it's come from a Rodwell miscued clearance/pass-back. He's thumped it at Hart and it's just over the bar for a corner! Nothing comes of it though.
Another dangerous delivery and the ball is cleared off the line before Toure's shot is blocked. It's another corner and this time Kompany heads the ball over the bar.
Tevez tries to slip in Kolarov and he is about to pull the trigger but Wright-Phillips does brilliantly to block with a sliding challenge.
The home side camped inside the Hoops half. Looks like Hughes' men will have to hope for something on the break here.
We are underway and there is an early touch for Green as QPR try to calm things down. City have started sharply.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback. The players are out on the field. They've done the handshakes and we will be kicking off (not in the Joey Barton sense) shortly.
Ouch. Chris says: "Can I get a shoutout as I'm a big City fan and was on holiday last time we played QPR. Had to sell my ticket, like I have today (working)." While I'm contractually obliged to say today's game will top that... (it won't).
Our friends at Sky Bet have City at 1/6 for this one with QPR at 14/1.The draw is available at 13/2.
Green is in goal for QPR. A penny for his thoughts right now? It will be interesting to see how Granero gets on - a class player but not the easiest game to start with!
Lescott and Silva are back for City and with no Milner it looks like Mancini is going with a back-four.
I can't think what David is referring to: "QPR to win 3-2 after going 2-1 down with two goals in injury time."
Adam has been in touch to say: "I think Man City will only draw 2-2 because Joe Hart isn't on good form at the moment. And QPR have a lot of great signings."
Ben says: "United fan hoping for some good news before our game tomorrow, but it won't happen. Too many changes at Rangers and Hughes is a poor manager, this will be 4 or 5-0 to City easy."
Iain says: "Yaya Toure will, I think, be key for City this evening. Final score will be 3-0 to City."
Man City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov; Yaya Toure, Rodwell, Silva, Nasri; Tevez, Dzeko.
QPR: Green; Bosingwa, Nelsen, Ferdinand, Fabio; Wright-Phillips, Granero, Faurlin, Park; Zamora, Johnson.

They've also both been busy on deadline day with City signing the likes of Javi Garcia and, err, Richard Wright, while QPR raised a few eyebrows by bringing in Julio Cesar, Esteban Granero and Stephane Mbia.
Welcome to live commentary from the Premier League as Manchester City host QPR at the Etihad Stadium. Apparently these two had an interesting game against each other here in May...
