That's your lot from a remarkable afternoon at Old Trafford. United played some stunning football and scored some majestic goals. Berbatov was magnificent with five goals but it was a wonderful all-round team performance. Many thanks for following the game via our live service.
Berbatov was so close to completing his double hat-trick a minute ago but it was an excellent stop from Robinson, who has not actually played badly today to be fair.
Rooney hooks in a brilliant cross, Berbatov beats his marker but his thumping header is repelled well by Robinson.
United are playing the game out in the centre of the field. They've treated the ball with the utmost respect all afternoon.
Morris overhits his cross over the top of United's bar. Credit to Blackburn's fans who have supported their side throughout.
Samba's goal came after United failed to clear a Blackburn corner and the ball was pumped back into the box from Blackburn's left.
GOAL for Blackburn!!!! Samba grabs a consolation with a looping header after moments earlier Van der Sar thwarted him with a similar effort.
Rafael nearly makes Robinson look a mug as his overhit cross from Rooney's glorious knock wide right drifts only an inch or so over.
United carry the ball the length of the field in about four seconds. The ball ends up with Obertan through on goal but Robinson is out to smother and make an excellent save. Wonderful football again,
Rafael concedes a free-kick about thirty yards from goal but on an angle. Nelsen won the header but it lacked purchase.
Evra does well on the stretch to prevent Hoillet from connecting with a right wing cross. At the other end, Rooney broke and nearly bent one beyond Robinson, only for Samba to block with his head.
Blackburn give the ball away yet again. They have been beyond dreadful this afternoon. United excellent, but Rovers have been shocking.
What was I saying about United slowing down...Anderson played him in and unselfishly he tried to pass to Rooney in the centre. Nelsen got in a decent block but the ball broke back to Berbatov, who angled a brilliant finish past Robinson.
A spirited run down United's left by Hoillet is curtailed as he fouls Evra. United seem content enough with six and have slowed down...for now.
This could end up in double figures. United look like scoring everytime they attack. Robinson has to be sharp to come off his line and take the ball off Rooney's head.
Another excellent move move sees Rooney link-up cleverly again. A linesman's flag prevents Park from getting in.
After a rapid raid down United's right the ball ended up at Park's feet but after his shot was blocked it broke to Berbatov who lashed home from close range.
Berbatov nearly gets in again but elects to hold the ball up rather than go for goal. Each United pass is being cheered as Salgado needs an excellent challenge to deny the Bulgarian at the back stick.
This is the performance United fans have been waiting all season for. Rooney concedes a free-kick in the corner of Blackburn's box, whose supporters by the way are in decent voice despite the score.
Nani forces Robinson to save with his feet after breaking clear yet again. The crowd are loving Rooney this afternoon.
Think we're just about up to date here. Blackburn look more battered and bruised than Audley Harrison a couple of weeks back.
Right, onto Nani's goal - Another brilliant move saw Anderson play in the winger with a stunning pass and again wonderful skill saw him beat his man before curling a stunning strike past Robinson. Majestic stuff here.
Breathtaking start to the half. Berbatov's goal was a sweeping finish from around eight yards after a wonderful United counter-attack that ended with Nani skinning his man and laying into the path of his team-mate.
Vidic gets in a stretching block as Roberts tries to get in on the outside. The ball is currently down United's right as Blackburn look for early pressure.
It's been one of the most one-sided games I've seen in a good while. United very impressive, Blackburn dire I'm afraid. I am absolutely freezing but the football's great. My email is not agreeing with the wifi here so apologies for not posting more of your comments. Hope you're enjoying it.
The Stretford ends screams for a penalty as Berbatov goes down following some stunning footwork. Referee not interested. It's the last action of the half.
The referee has indicated two minutes of extra-time. Diouf goes into the book for a wild challenge on Evra.
Excellent football from United ends with a wayward pass from Carrick finding touch. I wouldn't want to be a Rovers player facing Big Sam at the break,
Rooney screams for a free-kick for handball just inside the box but again the referee is not interested. At the other end, brilliant covering from Ferdinand prevents Hoillet from getting in. Apologies, Hoillet came on after United's third goal.
Nani wants a free-kick on edge of the box after being blocked off by Nelsen but sees his protests waved away.
Rafael gets in a snappy challenge on Emerton as Rovers make a rare counter-attack. My money's on a Berbatov hat-trick.
Physio is on to look at Rooney's ankle. Doesn't look too serious as the player is now back on his feet.
Yet another United corner as Nani gets two bites of the cherry with his second attempt at a cross finding only Robinson.
Brilliant ball in from Nani sees Vidic somehow fail to convert. Rovers are shocking at the back this afternoon.
This is vintage stuff from United. Real champagne football. Looks like most of you were right in predicting a big United win.
GOAL for Berbatov! It's 3-0 to United. Disaster for Chimbonda as he rolls a backpass into the path of the Bulgarian. Thumping finish beats Robinson.
United are rampant, Nani is inches away from getting in from Carrick's excellent pass. This could get embarrassing if Rovers aren't careful.
Park ran strongly at Blackburn's back four giving the ball to Rooney. The England man weighted his perfectly for Park to dink over Robinson. Lovely goal.
Van der Sar punts the ball long, Samba is more than a match for Berbatov in the air and clears easily. United's front two are linking up quite well though.
Evra flicks on Nani's corner at the near post. The ball floats over Robinson but again desperate defending sees Rovers clear.
Blackburn are getting the ball forward quickly and trying to isolate Rafael. The full-back's doing well though and it's United looking the more likely.
Blackburn win a corner off Ferdinand in the far corner. Roberts was close to connecting before Dunn flashed a shot way wide.
Nelsen forced into an excellent block challenge to prevent Berbatov getting in. It's all United, with both strikers enjoying plenty of the ball.
Nani forces Robinson into a save at his near post. Decent move but easy stop as the ball took a deflection.
Lovely United move breaks down after excellent surging run from Anderson. The crowd are chanting ROONEY! - Seems like he's forgiven.
Berbatov gets caught off side. Robinson clears long into United's box but Rafael does well to clear.
Great take from Rooney down the left but his cross was deflected into the arms of Robinson. Rooney looks sharp and hungry.
Rare Blackburn foray sees Jones find space but Ferdinand is in quickly to clear. Good tackle. Game settling nicely.
United are totally bossing it. Blackburn look punch drunk. Could have another soon if it continues like this.
It was a nice Nani cross from the left, Rooney flicked on and Berbatov got infront of Chimbonda to flick home. Great start for the home side.
Not long to kick-off now. Lovely view. Off to Iceland next week so this is ideal preparation...John Strick writes: "Hope you've wrapped up warm. I reckon United will keep you entertained today, with a feast of goals from Berba and Rooney. I think they'll both catch fire today at the right time and confidently predict a 4 or 5-0 victory. Let it snow let it snow let it snow!" If it snows John I will cry great snotty sobs...
I'm off to face the elements and take my seat so your comments might dry up for 15 minutes or so. Let's hope for an enjoyable afternoon's football. Thanks for your contributions so far.
Alex Bullard is another predicting Wayne Rooney to enjoy a productive afternoon. "Hello, I am a Manchester United fan and i think we will win 3.1. I can see Berbatov ending his ten game goal draught and score 2 here today. I think this is his time to shine and this season he will score more goals then ever. I could also see Rooney getting a goal to make sure we win. I think the fans will give a mixed reception but with a goal it might change. Finally a late Blackburn goal. Overall I think an easy win for United."
Chris Dunkerley is not a happy chappy: "I see United have snapped up another "bargain" this week. I can see why United stick with that policy, just look at the roaring success's that are Bebe, Obertan, Djemba Djemba!!!!!! The big question today is who will be substituted first, Park or Anderson............Fergie is conning all United fans. Rooney was right with his comments."
A few words from our friends at Sky Bet: Man Utd 2/9, Draw 5/1, Blackburn 12/1. Man Utd will be most people's bankers in their Saturday accumulators at 2/9 but Blackburn are not without their followers at 12/1 to spring an upset. Wayne Rooney continues his comeback and is 3/1 to score the first goal.
Martyn Gill is another Red in confident mood - he's predicting a 3-0 win for the home side, with Anderson bagging a rare goal. You'd probably get decent odds on the Brazilian scoring given his record is worse than John Merrick's.
Alex from Maryland, USA, writes: "It feels weird to have almost the whole squad back again. Although Darren Fletcher being sidelined with an ankle injury, I still believe Wayne and the return of Rio and Vidic in the back, after their one match rest, will be too much for Blackburn. I say 2-0 United."
Sasha Sntiago Lopez from URUGUAY no less has been in touch first to predict a 4-0 win for United, which will include a Wayne Rooney double. Big Sam will not be pleased.
Blackburn: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Chimbonda, Jones, Emerton, Dunn, Goulon, El-Hadji Diouf, Roberts. Subs: Bunn, Givet, Linganzi, Mwaruwari, Hoilett, Hanley, Morris.
Good news on two fronts. I've found out both sides and located a meat and potatoe pie. Hollands. World class. Of less concern, Man Utd: Van der Sar, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Anderson, Park, Berbatov, Rooney. Subs: Kuszczak, Giggs, Hernandez, O'Shea, Evans, Fletcher, Obertan.
Welcome to our live commentary from ice-station Old Trafford where the sun is shining but the temperature is enough to make men stronger than me sob. Where possible I'll publish your comments, you can send me your thoughts on firstname.lastname@example.org, but for now I'm off to try to find some team news. And have a brew..
