Nice trick from Sturridge on the byline and he goes down again but once again Mark Clattenburg is not impressed and no penalty.
Suarez does score a few seconds later as loose ball after a Sturridge shot breaks for him in the clear and he slots tidily past De Gea.
Cracking save from De Gea as Suarez muscles his way into the United area and sees his volley parried wide of the target by the Spaniard.
Lovely ball over the top from Rooney finds van Persie but he volleys wide as the flag goes up for offside.
Sturridge in the thick of it again and goes down thanks to a trailing foot from Carrick. This was a penalty but it is not given.
So a quick recap - Vidic slides in to tackle Sturrdge as the striker knocks the ball past him. Sturridge hits the deck, Vidic goes crackers as the contact looks minimal. Red card for Vidic though and Gerarrd then hits the post from the spot.

Liverpool look to break again but Fellaini does well to nick the ball of Allen on halfway. Rooney makes a big plea for a penalty.
Really poor from United. Rooney having to drop deep at the moment to get in the game and sloppy work at the back from Jones gives away a needless throw-in.
GOAL GERRARD: The Liverpool captain makes it 2-0. De Gea guesses right but the spot-kick is too good.
Jack Fitches says: "We need to try and keep playing passing football, trying to keep playing the way we have been all season.. Skrtel and agger need to keep a tight line! Lets hope the sas can make a something happen in the second half!"
Hi again to Jimmy Mansi: "I see a lot of comments blaming Moyes for all of this. One of them players makes in a week what the average working class citizen makes in his lifetime. United press again and this time a shot on the turn from van Persie hits Skrtel and is behind for a corner.
Rafael shapes to shoot on the edge of the Liverpool but goes for a pass into the box and a tight area, which is intercepted.
Backheel from Sturridge down the right flank in the area of Suarez but Vidic across to make the tackle.
Mark Hodgson says: "Headless chickens Fellani and Rafael.Get them off.Should never be in a united shirt and Moyes is never a united manager. What a joke."
Liverpool into the lead then but Rafael lucky to still be on the pitch as he moved his hand to the ball as Suarez tried to flick it round him and certainly deserved another booking - and therefore a red.
