Man Utd 1 Shakhtar 0. All over and United get back to winning ways and finish as winners of Group A.
Moyes still shuffling nervously in his seat. Shakhtar win a free-kick. They play it short. Odd decision given that they need at least one goal. Srna able to win a corner.
Long ball down the left finds Van Persie moving into the box. He waits for Pyatov to commit himself and dinks the ball towards the target. He is unfortunate to see a clever effort hit the side-netting.
Bernard on the charge and skipping past tackles. He gets to the edge of the box, where he is halted by Cleverley. United not prepared to let this slip.
Rooney tries a bit too much in midfield, but is clipped by Fernando and gets a free-kick inside the centre cirlce. All United need as they run down the clock.
Final change for United sees Valencia replace Buttner. Rafael will come over to left-back. Also a change up top by Shakhtar as Ferreyra replaces Adriano.
Shkahtr almost giving up. The pace they displayed in the first half is gone. They look to have run out of ideas. Speaks volumes for United that they have frustrated them so well.
Srna bombs down the right. He can find Stepanenko and get the ball back. As he enters the box, he drills low at De Gea from the angle of the penalty area. Safe hands from the United keeper.
Another change being readied by United. On the field, Shakhtar win a couple of throws down their left but are then forced backwards. United sitting in and plugging all the gaps.
Set-piece is played short. United fans getting behind their troops. Welcome return to winning ways for them at the moment. Not long to hold out now. Moyes down on the touchline kicking every ball.
United happy to shut up shop now. Shakhtar, who looked so bright early on are now labouring a little. They concede a free-kick inside the United half.
Rooney bundles past Kucher and spreads wide to the left for Van Persie. He forces a corner off Srna. United where they want to be. Rooney delivers and the ball is allowed to run through the box. Cleverley arrives on the volley, but slices into the stands from a tight angle.
Kucher next into the book for talking back to the referee. Frustration starting to mount for the visitors. They can't find a way through and are heading out of the Champions League.
Shakhtar make another change. Fernando sent on in place of Fred. Another holding midfielder. Odd choice.
Costa with a free-kick which is again met by Jones. Shakhtar now the ones trying to force the issue. United can drop a little deeper.
Ball worked into Teixeira. He looks to have run the ball out, but is awarded a throw. United pushed back, but Evans can nod out to relative safety. Desperate effort from Rakitskiy sails high into the stands.
Jones patrolling in front of the back four. Clean sheet and a win the order of the day for United. Cleverley becomes the second man into the book for a lunging challenge. Srna also booked for dissent.
Cleverley into Januzaj. He looks over the top for Kagawa, but Kucher can grow enough. The ball drops to Rooney, who can't thread a pass into a run of Cleverley.
Discussion between referee and official behind the goal. Decision is goal kick, when it looked like it should be a corner. United not complaining. They can now knock the ball across midfield.
Corner taken short, before Srna whips the ball to the near post. Jones there to put it behind again. Srna tries again. Buttner heads up into the air and De Gea can't get to the ball.
Srna nicks the ball off the toe of Buttner, who waits for it to come to him. Shakhtar press and Evans sees the ball flick off him and behind.
Free-kick delivered low into the path of Kucher, but his flick takes the ball away from goal. He stays in the box and keeps Shakhtar on the front foot. Costa cuts onto his left foot and looks for Bernard. He can't get around Rafael.
Having said we hadn't had a card, we get one immediately. Buttner late into a challenge on Srna and is booked for bundling into the Shakhtar skipper.
Rooney gathers on halfway. United happy to go back to De Gea, He swings play out to Buttner. Not the best pass and the ball slips out off the full-back's chest. Adriano then goes down chasing the throw, but is waved back to his feet.
Van Persie caught late by Kucher. Still no cards so far. Shakhtar now the ones who need to offer a response and find another gear from somewhere.
All of a sudden, life seems a little sweeter for United and their followers. They needed that. Can they build on it? You would hope so.
GOAL MAN UTD - JONES. Relief around Old Trafford as United take the lead. Van Persie's corner isn't cleared and drops to Jones 12 yards out. He drills a volley past Pyatov. Moyes celebrates.
United looking more comfortable on the ball now. Confidence starting to come back into their game. Shakhtar can't get the ball. Rooney sends Rafael down the right, and he wins a corner off Bernard.
Buttner felled by Costa. Free-kick to United deep inside their own half. Kagawa comes to collect 35 yards from his own goal. He is able to drop deeper now that Van Persie is on the field.
Cleverley threaded through to Rooney. He looks to feed Van Persie, who is ghosting into the box. Kucher sticks out a leg and is fortunate to see the ball roll into the hands of Pyatov - could easily have been diverted past him.
Shakhtar also making a change. Taison makes way for Bernard. Safe to assume he won't be providing an aeril threat either. Rooney gets around to taking the corner, but only finds the hands of Pyatov.
Buttner on the charge. He gets into a promising position and sees a cross bundled behind. United changes made, with Young and Giggs replaced by Van Persie and Cleverley.
Shakhtar now taking a turn to play keep-ball. Rooney and Kagawa working hard to close up top. It works as Shakhtar are again forced long. Not the best part of their game.
Ball not going out at the moment. United in control. They edge towards the box, before Shakhtar spring out and clear. United edge forward again. Hardly thrill-a-minute, but more promising for the hosts.
Better from United. They need to take charge of proceedings. At the back, Evans takes no chances as he hammers down field. United have two changes ready to be made the next time the ball goes out.
Young gets the ball back and whips it back into the box. He over-hits the cross, but Pyatov is caught under the ball and is worried for a moment as it swings over his head and curls towards the corner. The ball drops just wide of the target. Rooney then lifts a clever lobbed effort from 20 yards out narrowly over the top.
Poor touch from Buttner sees a United move break down. Costa gives them the ball back. Young able to squeeze over a cross from the left which Kagawa meets with a high boot and forces Pyatov to touch around the post. Corner from Young punched out.
Shakhtar still being patient. Bad news for them, Van Persie is being readied to come on. United looking to win the game. They need a spark and Van Persie may be the man to provide it.
Teixeira can't get away from Jones this time. Januzaj picked out on the right and is caught late by Rakitskiy. Referee tries to play on, but then brings the game back for a free-kick. Buttner moving down the left, but cross is claimed by Pyatov.
Srna into the feet of Adriano. He can collect and turn inside the box. Evans needed to get closer, but can block a shot behind for a corner. Srna takes. His delivery is high to the back post, but the whistle goes.
Leverkusen are now winning in Spain, meaning Shakhtar have to win here to go through. Won't take long for that message to get across. At the moment, they are defending. Buttner tries one too many stepovers and loses the ball.
Januzaj comes back to meet a pass from Rafael from an offside position. Needless as he was looking along the line. Teixeira with quick feet again on the edge of the box, but sees a shot blocked. Brazilian flair causing United problems.
Smart build-up again from Shakhtar, after Jones is caught on the ball. Costa freed in the box, but kicks the floor as he tries to shoot and ends up on the deck watching the ball run behind for a goal kick. Red faces all round.
Young onto his right foot and spots a dart from Giggs. The ball breaks kindly for him, but he opts to try and find Rooney from six yards out rather than shoot with his right foot. Square pass across the face of goal is cut out.
Young gets more elevation on his delivery this time. His whipped delivery to the back post is palmed away by Pyatov. Shakhtar keeper then does well to come and claim another cross from Jones.
United keep up the pressure and force another corner. Young put the ball into the box this time, but Fred is on the near post to hack clear. Not a great delivery again. Januzaj picked out down the left and his cross is blocked by the arm of Stepanenko. Free-kick to United wide on their left.
United subs getting ready to warm up. Expect changes sooner rather than later. Nice feet from Januzaj allows him to find Rooney. United go right to Rafael. His cross has to be nodded behind by Srna. Corner taken quickly.
Rafael has to slide in on Shevchuk and concede a corner. Taison over the dead ball. Low delivery to the front post which makes its way through to Rakitskiy. His low shot from 10 yards out clips the post. Another corner given, which comes to nothing.
Young collects a stray pass, but then gives the ball straight back to Fred. Space for Srna to move into on the right, and finds Costa. He breezes past Buttner, but his cross is too strong.
David Moyes gets a nice reception from the United fans as he makes his way back out of the tunnel. Still has their support for now.
Players back out for the second half. We're ready for the off once more. Game still hanging in the balance. All to play for.
Michael O'Neill says: "Is Ashley Young trying to become the most unwanted player at MUFC? He is now so poor, I'm beginning to feel sorry for him. This game will not finish goal-less for Shakhtar, so it's over to you United. Come on, you Reds!"
Remember you can also bet in-play at Skybet.com. United now 6/4 to take the spoils, Shakhtar 5/2 and the draw 6/4. You can get The Red Devils to win 1-0 at 4/1.

Man Utd 0 Shakhtar 0. No stoppage-time and we enter the interval all square. Best chances spurned by Young.
Good strength from Januzaj and Jones finds Rooney again. United piling forward. Ferdinand joins in and finds Rafael. He skips inside, but the box becomes very crowded. No way down the left for Buttner.
Rakitskiy hammers long, straight to Jones. He finds Rooney, who has Young left of him, Again, he gets a clear sight of goal. Again, he fails to hit the target as he lashes wide of the upright with his left foot. Well wide in the end. Terrible finish.
Rooney found inside the box, but can't find the yard of space he requires to get a shot away. Just not happening for United at the moment. Jones then fells Rakitskiy.
Costa shows how things should be done as he hurries United and forces them back to De Gea. Januzaj soon racing the other way. He makes his way towards the box, but then miscontrols. Same old story for United at the moment - plenty of promise but no end product.
Young inside, before inviting Ferdinand forward. No way through for United, with Shakhtar pulling 11 men behind the ball. A point is enough for them as things stand to go through.
Pyatov allowed as long as he likes to clear his lines. When Rooney does press, a long ball is easily picked off. United need more urgency. Moyes may require the likes of Hernandez and Valencia off the bench - players who will run all day and make a nuisance of themselves.
Shakhtar now controlling the pace of the game, as they go all the way back to Pyatov. He plays the ball square to Srna. Visitors growing in confidence all the time. United need to knock that out of them.
Big chance for United goes begging there. They are soon chasing back as Taison leads the visitors forward. Srna found wide on the right, and he goes across the field to Shevchuk. Pace of the move breaks down.
Januzaj bundled into by Rakitskiy. Free-kick wide on the right taken quickly. Jones goes left to Buttner. United soon going backwards, before Giggs goes over the top to Young. He gets past Srna and is in on goal. He lobs the ball over the onrushing Pyatov, but agonisingly wide of the post.
Taison more concerned with holding off Rafael than gathering a pass, and he allows the ball to slip out for a throw. United can't get anything going. Better challenge from Ferdinand gets them back in possession.
Delay in the taking of the corner due to pushing and shoving. When it is sent over, it is dealt with at the near post. United pass their way out, but are pegged in. Sometimes a long ball is required, and that was one of those times.
Shevchuk in behind Rafael. His cross flicks off Ferdinand and loops into the air. The ball drops narrowly wide of the post for a corner. Shakhtar a yard quicker all over the field at the moment.
Kagawa very deep again as he collects on halfway. He is supposed to be the support for Rooney up top. Careless from Ferdinand as he gives the ball away and can't get back. He gets away with it as Fred miskicks his effort from 15 yards out.
Rooney gets his effort around the wall. It has a long way to curl back, and doesn't come enough. Some United fans think the ball nestles in the corner, but it brushes the side-netting on its way past the post.
Suddenly Januzaj leads a charge. He is allowed to carry the ball a long way. He delays a pass out to Rooney in space on the left and is bundled over 30 yards from goal by Rakitskiy. Promising position for United - just right of centre.
Shakhtar happy to play out from the back as well. United look to press and Srna has to drill an aimless pass down the right wing. Home side have to do that more - force the issue. Shevchuk gets well forward and Giggs clearance falls to Costa. United can't clear their lines.
Scrappy from United as they give the ball away again. Moans from the stands, until they suddenly find their voice and try to offer support. Players need it, have lost their way slightly in the last few minutes.
Rafael racing over halfway. He leaves the ball to Rooney, who feeds it into the feet of Kagawa. He tries to flick into the path of Rafael, but fails. Trying to be too clever. Shakhtar unable to counter first time around. Teixeira gets a second chance and runs straight at United. He fires low into the hands of De Gea.
Rooney with a clever pass into the box for Kagawa to chase. He has to run around Kucher on his way to the ball and Pyatov is able to spring off his line and gather on the slide. Right idea from Rooney.
Giggs comes back to help out and wins a throw of his own. His effort hits the back of Januzaj. Welshman gets the ball back and is caught in possession by Taison. He goes left to Costa, but his cross isn't the best. United shooting themselves in the foot.
Rooney fires the ball back to De Gea, who has to show a neat touch on his own goal-line. United can't get out and Shevchuk wins a throw down the left flank. Rafael concedes a couple more in quick succession.
Shakhtar remain on the front foot. Very comfortable on the ball and have great movement. Intricate build-up on the edge of the box. Maybe one too many passes as Teixeira sees a shot comfortably blocked. United chasing shadows for a moment there.
Taison into the feet of Costa. He shows quick feet and great balance to skip around Ferdinand and towards the by-line. He fires over a drilled cross which flashes across the face of goal and away for a throw.
Evans does enough to win a throw as United are pegged back towards their own corner flag. Still a bit edgy. Fans, players, coaches, everyone a little more nervous than they would usually be for a game at Old Trafford.
Buttner slips as he comes to meet Costa. Shakhtar winger can drift forward to the edge of the box and cut inside onto his right foot. A low drive skids past the post.
Shakhtar sitting very deep. United seeing a lot of the ball in areas where they can't hurt the visitors. Need to up the tempo and move Shakhtar around, pull them into areas they don't want to go.
Costa glides through the gears, but Taison fails to collect his pass. United look to counter, but Kagawa is adjudged to have controlled the ball with his arm. Shakhtar go backwards from the free-kick, before Rakitskiy sends a wayward cross into the hands of De Gea from very deep.
Januzaj takes the ball on his chest and shoots on the turn. Straight down the throat of Pyatov. He can only parry, but Young slices the rebound high over the top from 18 yards out. Better from the hosts.
Young delivers from the left. Poor, as his delivery is hacked away by the first man at the near post. Wasted opportunity with the big men forward from the back. United win the ball again and Kagawa sees a cross deflected into Januzaj.
De Gea taking a risk on the edge of his own box, as he takes an extra touch with Adriano closing in fast. United get away with it and slow things down in midfield. Giggs injects some urgency into the move and Rooney forces a corner off the retreating Srna.
Taison takes the ball off Rafael and has Stepanenko in support. Shevchuk on the overlap, but his cross is deflcted to safety. Rakitskiy then dives into a reckless challenge on Rooney and United can move forward again.
Kagawa able to turn in midfield and invite Buttner forward. He beats Srna and sends over a much better cross. Januzaj challenges for a high ball at the back post, but is beaten in the air by Shevchuk.
Taison, with one pass, carves United open. Teixeira sent bursting into the box. He fires across De Gea and is inches wide of the post. Evans did just about enough to put him off. Warning for United that they can't switch off.
Wayward from Giggs as he looks wide to Rafael. Far too much on a pass which sails into the crowd. He does better with his next pass, which finds Young. All a bit crowded in the middle of the park.
Young unfortunate to see the ball bounce off a sliding Srna and back onto his shins before leaving the field. Groans from the stands. United soon get the ball back. Still being given a lot of time to play their way out from defence.
Buttner well forward again, but again he can't deliver. Disappointing delivery rolls along the turf. Young then bundles Fred to the deck and Shakhtar can clear their lines. Costa finds space 25 yards out, but soon has the door slammed in his face.
Douglas Coast forced wide to the right wing. United have bodies behind the ball. Fred decides to try his luck from 30 yards out, but sees a tame effort bounce favourably into the arms of De Gea.
Free-kick to United inside their own half. Young drops deep to get involved, cutting in off his flank. United then go right again, but Taison cuts out a Jones pass intended for the buccaneering Rafael.
Fred wide to Srna, but United have red shirts flooding back. No joy for Adriano on the edge of the box as his first touch is a little heavy. United move right to Januzaj, who feeds Rooney. He looks for a one-two, but Januzaj had come inside and Giggs was caught on his heels.
Rafael bombing down the right, before cutting back to Januzaj and Jones. The latter breaks into the box, brushing past defenders on his way. He gets onto the end of his own heavy touch and sees a low effort from a tight angle kept out by the boots of Pyatov.
Space for Januzaj from very deep, but Taison comes to close him down. Shakhtar prepared to let United cross halfway before they really get in their faces. As I said prior to kick-off, they are set up to keep things tight.
Giggs slips the ball left to Buttner, who drives forward and finds Young. Patient build-up from United 40-odd yards from goal. They then go all the way back to De Gea. No need to force the issue this early on. Smart approach.
Ferdinand strides out from the back and finds Januzaj. He moves the ball to Kagawa, and then Young. Buttner finds space to send over a cross, but gets too much on it for those in the middle.
Evans up to win a towering header, but can only nod out for a throw. Butter thinks he has then won one for United, but the decision goes against him on halfway. Shakhtar unable to get the ball down on the deck.
Shakhtar straight into their passing stride - they won't be overawed by the occasion. United get the ball back, but Rooney glances on to nobody. Teixeira can drift through the middle, but a shot from distance is blocked at source.
Nelson Mandela remembered prior to kick-off by both sets of players - games across Europe paying homage to the former South African leader tonight.
Champions League anthem rings out around the Theatre of Dreams. United hoping they don't endure another home soil nightmare in Europe tonight. Red Devils look determined - expecting a big response from them.
Players are in the tunnel and we are almost ready for the off at Old Trafford. Will have to leave the feedback there for now, but there will be further opportunities to have your say at half-time and at the final whistle.
Time for Moyes to get his final message across to the players in the dressing room. He needs them to start positively tonight, show they mean business and try to get an early goal to ease some of the nervous tension in the air.
Stephan Gray says: "I agree with Glen about not being negative about the team we all love, but it's time for United fans to take a reality check. At least 4 players in United's starting line up tonight would not get into the Spurs, Everton, Liverpool or Newcastle starting XI - all of which are not playing Champions League football this season. So why are they deemed good enough to play Champions League football for United?"
Buddy Jackson remains upbeat, saying: "Not sure why #manu fans are still on a downer about the team, I think the formation is strong and only weak link is Young."
Mike Rochford says: "Being a Mancunian, living in Canada I never miss a game. Let's get behind the lads and support the team we love. I just hope Kagawa and Young get stuck in. 3-0 United Rooney 2 and Evans with a header. C'mon you reds!!"
Glenn wants a bit of positivity, saying: "All these negative comments from United supporters let's get behind the team. United to win 2-0 for me. As for rotation, no different to what Sir Alex did."
Ben Gleeson says: "I am happy to see two genuine wingers start for us rather than Welbeck or Kagawa shoe-horned in out wide, but Rio, Buttner and Young all severely lacking match fitness worries the hell out of me. The Shakhtar front 4 are all agile, skilful, clever players that score plenty of goals through finding space, and we technically only have 3 defensive players on the pitch (Rio, Evans, Jones). I am more than worried."
Half-an-hour until kick-off at Old Trafford. Keep your thoughts coming in to Chris.Burton@bskyb.com or @SkySportsChrisB.
On a side note, Januzaj is making his European bow tonight. Big occasion for him. Looking at Shakhtar's side, they look like they are set up to keep things tight and try to nick a 1-0 on the counter.
Stephen Gray isn't happy, saying: "Just seen the team Moyes has picked for tonight's must not lose game. Ashley Young has not been good enough to start the last few games and in my opinion should never wear the shirt again, yet he starts tonight. Buttner is unproven and Giggs god bless him is 40. This team will not strike fear into the opposition and that is our problem at the moment. Plus if Van Persie is still not fit, leave him at home. Get your cheque book out Mr Glazier!!!"
Wahid Mahmood says: "I think we need to get rid of Moyes ASAP. What is he thinking playing Young? Utd are playing poor football thanks to Moyes."
Ella says: "So much rotation in the squad just shows how Moyes has no clue what his best side is..."
Liam Ross is a little more optimistic, saying: "Think United need a win to boost morale within the squad. Hopefully a win tonight in front of a home crowd against a good team will hopefully get this season started. Hopefully see Rooney and Van Persie both get on the scoresheet."
Sean McGrinder says: "I see the game plan, tell young to run into the box and fall. It's the only way Man Utd will win!!!"
Shakhtar Donetsk team: Pyatov, Srna, Kucher, Rakitskiy, Shevchuk, Fred, Stepanenko, Douglas Costa, Teixeira, Taison, Adriano. Subs: Kanibolotskiy, Kryvtsov, Fernando, Hübschman, Bernard, Eduardo, Ferreyra.
Man Utd team: De Gea; Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Buttner; Young, Giggs, Jones, Januzaj, Kagawa, Rooney. Subs: Lindegaard, Anderson, Cleverley, Nani, Valencia, Hernandez, Van Persie.
Chris Green fears for the hosts, saying: "Inevitably, Manchester United will probably falter against Shakhtar Donetsk owing to their recent loss of form. Team morale and spirit seems to be at an all-time low, which is quite surprising given the previous history and statistics of this legendary club. I desperately hope that the support of the home crowd raises the players' spirits and performance to secure a win, but if Shakhtar hit the ground running and grab the first goal, it may not be enough to secure this critical win."
You can also bet in-play throughout the game at Skybet.com. United start as favourites at 21/20, with Shakhtar 11/4 and the draw 12/5. You can get United to win 2-0 Price Boosted to 11/1.
Can United get back to winning ways or will Shakhtar pile more pressure on David Moyes? Who will be the key men? Let me know your thoughts.

Their focus is locked on the collection of a positive result which will keep them above Bayer Leverkusen - who travel to Real Sociedad in tonight's other game in the group.
Shakhtar are the only side who can deny United top spot, but will have to produce something special to take to the summit themselves.
Relief is offered tonight as United are already safely through to the last-16, but victory would help to rebuild fragile confidence and see them head into the knockout stage as winners of Group A.
United have lost their last two on the bounce on home soil, have drawn a blank in each of those contests and have collected just one win from their last five fixtures in all competitions.
Talk of a crisis at Old Trafford may be slightly premature, but there are no escaping the facts and this has become a crucial contest for the Red Devils.
