FULL-TIME West Ham hold on to claim all three points and get their Premier League campaign off and running. Birmingham have battled bravely but are left with only one point from their first three games.

90 - Bellamy miss Doyle makes a similar save to keep out Bellamy. Three added minutes have been signalled.

89 - Dyer denied It is 3 on 1 as West Ham launch a swift counter-atack. But Dyer cannot secure the points as Doyle saves with his legs.

88 - Barrage of crosses Birmingham have won six corners in about as many minutes but West Ham have defended them well.

86 - Change for West Ham Gabbidon comes on for Spector as Curbishley looks to kill time.

85 - Green save Green brilliantly saves McSheffrey's deflected free-kick.

82 - Desperate defending Dyer concedes a free-kick for a foul on McSheffrey. West Ham are looking more and more vulnerable at the back.

79 - Change for Blues Bruce makes his third and final substitution, bringing on Sadler for Muamba.

77 - Hammers counter-attack McCartney slings over a cross from the left after a flowing move. The ball just evades Zamora in the centre

75 - Change for Blues Nafti makes way for Jerome. Birmingham are pressing hard and West Ham are starting to sit deep.

71 - Yellow Kapo is booked for a foul on Etherington.

70 - Lucky escape Zamora gets away with a push on O'Connor as Birmingham seek an instant reply.

69 -GOAL West Ham take the lead as Noble steps up and sends the goalkeeper the wrong way. Meanwhile, Ridgewell is shown a yellow card for disputing the decision.

68 - Penalty for West Ham Bellamy races on to a pass from Dyer and is brought down by Doyle.

66 - Change for Birmingham Forsell is replaced by McSheffrey

65 - Another chance goes begging Zamora has another opportunity but miscues and sends his shot wide.

63 - Zamora blazes over It is all West Ham again but Zamora wastes two good chances in quick succession as he shoots high and then wide.

61 - Etherington run The winger dances down the left and beats Jaidi. but his shot is saved by Doyle.

57 - Under the cosh Birmingham have come back strongly in the last few minutes and are suddenly looking the more likely to score. O'Connor shoots wide.

55 - Yellow Nafti is cautioned for persistent fouling. Bringing down Bellamy is his latest offence.

51 - Bellamy blunder Noble lays a pass back for Bellamy after a superb run in from the left, but the Welshman scuffs his shot wide.

49 - Wayward Zamora The ball breaks for Zamora in the box but the Hammers striker blazes high and wide. It looks as though Alan Curbishley has given his players a stern talking-to at the break.

48 - More open Both sides have upped the tempo and are pushing more men forward. At this rate, Blues may have to wait a little longer for their next goalless draw.

46 - Underway Birmingham get the second half started and are now just 45 minutes away from their firts 0-0 for over a year.

HALF-TIME It is goalless as the whistle goes for half-time. West Ham have just about edged it so far but neither side has done enough to deserve a lead.

45 - Blues finish with a flourish Jaidi almost opens the scoring with a low shot through a crowded penalty area. Green ives to his left and parries well.

44 - Poor delivery Kapo has a chance to whip in a dangerous free-kick but his cross does not clear the first defender. West Ham break but the impresive Jaidi clears at the other end.

41 - Little threatCarson Yeung is closing in on a takeover at St Andrews. He is in the crowd today but may not feel like coming back too often in the future if the standard does not improve in the second half.

37 - Quiet Dyer Dyer has been off the pace so far in the first half and nearly makes a costly mistake as he surrenders possession to Kapo inside his own half. Ferdinand makes a fine interception to spare his blushes.

35 - Caution Parnaby becomes the second play to be booked for a late challenge on McCartney.

34 - Noble volleys over Noble is at the hub of all West Ham's best play and he creates space for himself to shoot over from 25 yards

32 - Doyle to the rescue Spector's drive deflects off Nafti but Doyle reacts well to pull off a fine save and keep Blues on level terms.

29 - Hammers press forwardAnother free-kick for West Ham, but this time it is cleverly worked round the wall as Zamora plays in Noble down the right. Noble's cross is menacing but Nafti clears for a corner.

25 - Noble rattles post Noble sends a powerful free-kick through the wall. it hits the bottom of the post but Doyle has it covered anyway.

22 - Upson becoming more popular Upson concedes a free-kick in a dangerous area, much to the crowd's delight, but the home side cannot take advantage.

21 - Bellamy battle Bellamy shrugs Ridgewell off the ball but Halsey feels the welshman was too aggressive and awards a free-kick to Birmingham.

19 - Scrappy stuff Play is getting bogged down in midfield, with neither keeper forced to make a save as yet.

15 - O'Connor shoots wide The Scottish striker pulls a shot well wide with an ambitious attempt from 25 yards. it is the first effort of the match.

14 - Blues back in it Birmingham are gradually gaining a foothold in the game. Kapo has been particularly lively in midfield.

11 - Halsey interception Halsey has not been on West Ham's side so far. After turning down the penalty shout, he now breaks up a potential counter-attack with an inadvertent block.

7 - Penalty appeal Dyer's first involvement of the game sees him run onto a pass from Bellamy and go down under pressure from Kelly. A different referee may have given a penalty, but Mark Halsey is not impressed.

6 - Caution Mullins is shown the yellow card for tugging on Larsson.

5 - Offside Zamora and Bellamy are both flagged offside as West Ham look to capitalise on their early supremacy.

3 - Warm reception Upson has been warmly received by his former Birmingham team-mates, but less so by the crowd, who have greeeted his every touch with jeers. West Ham on top early on.

Dyer makes debut West Ham manager Alan Curbishley has handed a debut to £6million capture Kieron Dyer. The midfielder replaces the injured Freddy Ljungberg in a revamped Hammers midfield. Matthew Etherington and Hayden Mullins are also in, while Luis Boa Morte and Lee Bowyer are out.
