90 - FULL-TIME: West Ham come from behind to earn a famous win as headers from Anton Ferdinand and Matthew Upton turn the game around. Cristiano Ronaldo had headed the Red Devils into an early lead before missing a penalty to put the champions 2-0 in front midway through the second half.
88 - Substitution: John O'Shea is thrown into the action in a desperate attempt to force an equaliser - it does not look like it will be coming though.
85 - Ashton heads for the corner: The Hammers are looking to close out the game now, but it is too early for Ashton to start heading for the corner flag, although the way the champions have played, it is hard to envisage them scoring.
82 - GOAL! West Ham go in front with Noble the creator again as he whips in a free-kick from the right and Upson rises powerfully to meet the ball and his header loops beyond Kuszczak.
79 - Substitution: The Red Devils set out their intention to win this game with Nani coming on for Hargreaves.
77 - GOAL! The Hammers are deservedly level as Ferdinand rises powerfully to meet Mark Noble's corner with his head. Can West Ham go on to win it now?
73 - Pressure from West Ham: The Hammers are starting to go a bit more direct after the introduction of Ashton as he tries to put his aerial presence to good use.
69 - Substitution: West Ham go for it now with Dean Ashton coming on for Ljungberg. The Swede did well first half, and it is time now for West Ham to adopt a more attacking approach.
66 - Ronaldo misses: The Red Devils fluff the chance to go 2-0 up as Ronaldo drills his penalty wide of Green's right-hand post, with the keeper having guessed the right way. Is this a chance for West Ham now to get back in the game?
65 - Penalty: The visitors win a spot-kick as Spector loses his bearings just inside the box and the ball hits his outstretched arm.
64 - Yellow card: Mullins has his name taken for bringing down Ronaldo in the centre circle. No complaints really as Mullins did what he had to.
63 - Substitution: United make a change with Tevez coming off to be replaced by Anderson. Tevez has shown glimpses of his best on his return to Upton Park, looking particularly strong on the ball, but he has struggled second half and Anderson comes on to give the Red Devils more numbers in midfield.
58 - Rejig for Hammers: The two substitutions have prompted a little change in positions for West Ham, with Ferdinand going to centre-half and Spector to left midfield, with Ljungberg slotting inside. Pantsil for Solano was a straight swap on the right.
56 - Yellow card: Pantsil is the first to be booked today as he is late in on Evra, nothing malicious in it, but one of those where the foot is left in when trying to block a clearance.
55 - Green out well: West Ham almost in trouble again there as Ronaldo looks to latch on to a long ball forward, but Green is out of his area well to deny the Portuguese.
54 - Substitution: West Ham make a second substitution as Anton Ferdinand makes his first appearance in almost two months, coming on for Parker, who may not have recovered from that knock in the first half.
49 - Substitution: A blow for West Ham as Solano is forced off, looks like he hurt his hamstring - maybe - when taking that free-kick and he is replaced by John Pantsil.
47 - Solano tries his luck: A poor challenge from Hargreaves gives West Ham a free-kick about 30 yards from goal which Solano curls over the wall and past the post. Solano has been the Hammers' best player so far.
46 - And we're back: West Ham get us going in the second half, with no changes in personnel. West Ham have shown enough to suggest they can score, but they are likely to become increasingly susceptible to the counter-attack in this second 45 minutes.
45 - HALF-TIME: The Red Devils go in a goal to the good through Ronaldo's header after a superb move from the visitors. But West Ham are unfortunate to be trailing, with Mullins having hit the woodwork and Noble putting the subsequent rebound over. Solano has also tested Kuszczak, while Cole should have done better with a header over the top.
45 - Ronaldo threatens: The goalscorer sets his sights for a second, cutting in from the left and creating a yard of space before firing his shot past Green's near post. A little reminder for West Ham.
41 - Cole heads over: A loose pass from Saha gifts possession to Noble who clips in a clever cross into the box to find the unmarked Cole, who heads over when he should have at least tested Kuszczak.
37 - United break again: From West Ham's corner, the visitors steam downfield and Giggs is played in behind the defence, but the captain's touch lets him down and Green gathers.
36 - Solano goes close: West Ham are back in the ascendancy with Solano firing in a curling, dipping shot from 30 yards out which is pushed over by Kuszczak.
35 - Cole ruffling feathers: The West Ham striker has come back into the game in the last few minutes and seems to have attached himself to Rio Ferdinand. The visiting defender is struggling to cope with Cole's physical approach - maybe Vidic would be better off taking care of the striker.
30 - Danger on the break: Though West Ham are starting to get back into the game, they are almost caught out on the counter. Saha releases Ronaldo down the right, the Frenchman's pass is a little heavy, and then Ronaldo's cross is too deep for Tevez - a warning for West Ham again.
26 - Penalty shout: West Ham want a penalty as Solano goes down in the box right near the by-line. Ferdinand possibly treads on the back of the the Peruvian's heel, difficult to say, and referee Dean errs on the side of caution and gives a goal-kick.
23 - Treatment for Parker: The midfield enforcer for West Ham is receiving treatment for a knock to the knee after a tussle with Ronaldo. Nothing sinister in the challenge, and Parker should be okay to continue after a few stretches.
22 - Midway point: At the halfway stage of the first half, the game seems perfectly set up for the Red Devils now, who are a goal to the good. Having already looked sharp on the break, you can't see the visitors playing any other way. The onus will be on West Ham to try and break down their opponents. They started brightly before the goal, but are now struggling to get Cole into the game as easily.
18 - Wind out of sails: The goal has just knocked West Ham off their stride for a few minutes as the hosts look to pick up the pace again after a bright start to the game.
14 - GOAL! The Red Devils take the lead after a superb, flowing move which is finished by Ronaldo. Tevez starts things, showing great strength to find Saha, who releases Giggs down the left to deliver a perfect ball into the box for Ronaldo to head beyond Green after racing in front of his marker.
10 - Hammers brighter: Despite West Ham's five-man midfield, there has been nothing cagey about the home side's start to the game. They have carved the visitors open once already with a superb move, but were denied by the woodwork and then Noble just needed a little more composure. However, the Red Devils have shown they can be a danger on the break, so it's set up promisingly.
7 - What a miss: West Ham should have taken the lead. Cole's great pass releases Mullins in the box, his shot comes back off the angle of bar and post and falls straight to Noble who has the goal at his mercy, but steers his shot over the bar. A big let-off for the champions, but will West Ham get such a good chance again?
5 - Tevez lurking: A wonderfully open start to the game, with United now on the attack. Neill's attempted clearance falls to Giggs, who plays a low ball into the near post which Green smothers well with Tevez looking to feed on any scraps.
3 - Hammers feisty: With Cole playing a lone striking role, West Ham could outnumber United in midfield, with Parker and Noble already showing good spirit and bite in a challenge.
1 - Early promise: A rapid start from the Hammers as Ljungberg finds space on the left and rolls the ball across goal, which Evra just about scrambles away from the lurking Solano.
0 - Kick-off: Mike Dean is the main in charge for today's game as United, in their all-black away strip, get the game underway, with Ronaldo unable to keep the ball in by the right touchline.
Can the Hammers do it again? Alan Curbishley's first game in charge was marked with a 1-0 win over United in this fixture just over 12 months ago, but can the Hammers repeat that feat? Their home form is poor this season, without a home win in two months. In contrast, United have gone top of the table and have won five in a row in the Premier League. The teams are coming out, but who is going to prevail?
Man Utd team: Kuszczak, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Hargreaves, Fletcher, Giggs, Tevez, Saha. Subs: Heaton, Nani, Anderson, O'Shea, Pique.
Team news: Former Hammers ace Carlos Tevez is one of four changes from the Manchester United side which beat Sunderland 4-0 on Boxing Day. Tevez replaces Wayne Rooney, who is given the afternoon off. Ryan Giggs, Owen Hargreaves and Patrice Evra also come back into the team, with Nani, John O'Shea and Michael Carrick dropping out.
West Ham team: Green, Neill, Spector, Upson, McCartney, Solano, Parker, Mullins, Noble, Ljungberg, Cole. Subs: Wright, Pantsil, Ferdinand, Camara, Ashton.
Team news: West Ham make just one change from the team which started the 1-1 draw at home to Reading on Boxing Day. Mark Noble comes in to form a likely five-man midfield, with Dean Ashton dropping to the bench.
