90+- Full Time: Tottenham take the three points thanks to goals from Lennon and a late second goal from Keane. Sunderland were unlucky not to pull level in the second half after creating many chances and worrying the Spurs defence.

90- Calls: Calls for a penalty after Chimbonda comes down following a challenge by Murphy but the referee dismisses it.

81- Cross: Murphy's corner goes in for a goalmouth scramble. Jones sends in a powerful header after beating the keeper which is cleared off the line from Dawson. Whitehead connects with the rebound but sends it just inches wide.

79- Run: Lennon makes a breaking run down the right after breaking free from the corner. Keane looks free but Lennon's chance is wasted.

79- Corner: Jones comes close from Murphy's corner kick and it is cleared for another corner. This time the corner is quickly cleared out by Spurs.

45+- Half TIme: A second minute goal from Lennon divides the two sides heading into half time. Gordon denied Spurs further with two fine saves inside a minute to deny Defoe and Berbatov to keep it at 1-0.

45- Lull: The match loses a bit of its tempo before the break with play mainly taking place in the middle of the field.

42- Drive: Miller's cross takes a deflection off Lee after some forward play from Sunderland. McShane gets his head to the corner but eventually Huddlestone clears.

35- Save: Gordon saves Sunderland again after a through ball from Huddlestone picks up Berbatov who fires but his shot is tipped over by Gordon.

35- Counterattack: Jenas finds Defoe who gets away from Nosworthy and fires but Gordon, at full stretch, makes a fine save.

32- Kick: A Tottenham free kick following Yorke's push on Boateng is sent in by Jenas to Lennon on the right who then finds Huddlestone. Huddlestone tries from long range but it soars over the crossbar.

31- Attempt: Murphy on the left tries to send a ball in on goal but it curls around the right post.

26- Danger: Tottenham prove dangerous on goal. Defoe crosses to goal, it's cleared by the defence but only as far as Berbatov who tries his chances but fires it over the crossbar following some fine early interplay from Spurs.

17- Kick: A McShane free kick falls in the area but is held by Cerny. He throws out to the wing before Murphy tries his chances only to be cleared.

16- Shot: A scramble at the other end sees Defoe's effort bounce off McShane.

15- Free kick: A Sunderland free kick from Stokes soars over the crossbar as a wasted opportunity.

14- Corner: Sunderland start to get back into the game and earn the first corner of the game. Murphy sends it to the near post but it is cleared.

13- Pass: A long ball from Nosworthy falls to Cerny at the other end.

12- Fire: Defoe shoots from long range with a right-footed effort but it sweeps past the goal.

9- Push: Sunderland attempt to push forward but it results in a goal kick for Cerny.

7 - Close: Boateng sends a long ball in from the left which reaches Defoe and looks dangerous but is cleared.

5 - Long: Dawson sends a long ball in looking for Lee but McShane clears the danger and it goes for a goal kick.

2 - GOAL!: Spurs take an early lead through Lennon. Some poor defending by the Sunderland defence lead to the ball been crossed in and Lennon connected well to fire home.
