FULL-TIME: Sunderland tally up their fourth home win in a row after Daryl Murphy lashed home in the second half to add to Dickson Etuhu's headed opener. It was a scrappy affair but gave the Black Cats the much-needed three points.
90 - Time added: The fourth official gives four minutes added time, can the Latics be ecstatic and pull off a comeback?
89 - Palacios run: The Wigan man dwells on the ball to put in a poor cross but redeems himself well with a surge into the box and forces the corner from the ever-industrious Dean Whitehead
86 - Half-chance: King's flick-on wide sums up Wigan's day, Sunderland are just edging this one after taking their chances well

81 - Kilbane flick: Kevin Kilbane looks for his second goal in as many weeks for another corner
78 - Olembe effort: After a five-year goal drought Salomon Olembe aims to crush that terrible record with a strike much like Murphy's goal, but his shot sails over the bar
75 - GOAL!!! Andy Reid makes an instant impact with a grass-cutter crossfield ball into the feet of Daryl Murphy who shifts it onto his left foot and plants an unstoppable effort into the top corner. A true contender for goal of the month!

71 - Delivery: Paul Scharner connects with Koumas' delivery and sends his header wide and just infront of the yellow-booted Bent

61 - Lofted ball: Murphy charges down a soft clearance and lofts the ball into the box, Jones puts the keeper under immense pressure and the slightest of touches takes it away from the striker

SECOND HALF: Mario Melchiot still suffering from an injury from the African Cup of Nations makes way for Jason Koumas.
HALF-TIME: Both sides look nervous as Sunderland go into the interval 1-0 up thanks to a well-taken header from Dickson Etuhu. Neither keeper has really been tested in the scrappy affair and it's upto Brucey's Latics to come up with the goods in the second half.
44 - Stumble: The substitute Rade Prica stumbles while through on goal and gives away a superb chance to raise the roof right off the Stadium of Light
43 - Heskey chance: Emile Heskey has a glorious opportunity to level the scores but drags his strike across the face of the goal

32 - Audacious effort: Palacios fashions an opening himself and lets fly with an ambitious effort which wasn't too far away over Gordon's bar
31 - Deflection: The ball falls to former Birmingham boy Palacios as his shot is deflected and easy pickings for Gordon in the sticks
26 - Substitution: Roy O'Donovan makes an early exit for Rade Prica
24 - Attack: O'Donovan has a great chance to whip the ball into the box from Jones' flick on as Sunderland attack, however his lacklustre effort is comfortable for Wigan's number one
