Controversy: West Ham were the better team and made the better chances, although the Cottagers will be aggrieved by the manner in which Solano bundled in the winning goal. It's therefore a bitter blow for Fulham's survival hopes, while West Ham will be hopeful of pushing on for European qualification.
Full-time: Yet West Ham stand firm and Fulham fail to create another opportunity before the final whistle.
92 mins - Cleared: Fulham go close as the ball falls for Bullard 12 yards out but his left-foot volley is blocked and hacked clear.
90 mins - Hope: Fulham get a glimmer of hope as the fourth official indicates there are five minutes of stoppage time.
88 mins - Red card: Fulham appeal for a free-kick, for either a foul on Niemi or handball, but Solano got the ball first and the handball wasn't deliberate. Andreasen is shown a second yellow card for dissent.
87 mins - GOAL!!! It's West Ham who finally break the deadlock and not surprisingly it's a scrappy effort that appears to have won it. Neill sweeps in a cross from the right, which is chested down by Boa Morte on the edge of the box. Fulham let Solano run onto the knock-down and the Peruvian midfielder puts in a firm challenge on Niemi before the ball creeps in off his arm.
85 mins - Chance: Bullard then misses a great chance to win it for Fulham. Andreasen is released on the left and plays a fine through ball for Bullard, but Green is out quick to make a fine stop low to his right.
83 mins - Back post: Hodgson throws on £3million signing Eddie Johnson for his Fulham debut and he is picked out at the back post by Konchesky's left-wing cross but the American striker blazes over from a tight angle.
81 mins - Opportunity: Andreasen goes down on the edge of the box as he is challenged by Upson and Mullins. Bullard steps up after hitting the winner from a similar range against Villa, but this effort deflects to safety off the top of the wall.
79 mns - Own goal: Fulham almost gift West Ham the lead as Hughes knocks the ball back to Niemi, who just manages to get a boot on the ball before hacking it to safety. If Niemi had missed that it was a certain goal and he'd only have himself to blame. Not sure why he rushed out of goal there.
76 mins - Threat: Fulham continue to threaten on the break with Bullard's cross causing panic in the West Ham defence. Neill leaves it for Green but McBride nips in to play it back for Andreasen, who has a shot blocked from the edge of the box.
73 mins - Glorious: Cole misses another chance for the Hammers and it's the best one yet! A superb ball from the outside of Solano's right foot releases Ljungberg in the right channel. The Swedish midfielder checks back and crosses for Cole, who directs a free header straight at Niemi from six yards.
69 mins - Balance: It's been a much-improved second hald with chances falling for both sides and the game is really hanging in the balanace now.
68 mins - Shaky: Fulham have another chance after the visitors fail to deal with a right-wing free-kick from Paul Konchesky. Green is out of position in a crowded penalty area but manages to block McBride's shot.
65 mins - Low: A long ball bounces kindly for Dempsey on the edge of the box and he attempts to loft the ball over Green but it's too low to clear the West Ham keeper.
64 mins - Denied: Cole gets a yard on Hughes but the Fulham defender recovers to make a block. Mullins lashes a 25-yard half-volley well wide after the resulting corner is cleared.
62 mins - Substitution: Nolberto Solano comes on for Faubert, who made an encouraging first league start for the Hammers.
61 mins - Inspired: Noble continues to force the Hammers forward, finding space 20 yards out after a surging run. He spots Ljungberg in space on the left side of the box but his right-footed efforted is straight at Niemi.
60 mins - Close: As Noble's shot bobbled wide of Niemi it looked as though West Ham had finally managed to break the deadlock there.
59 mins - Pressure: West Ham keep the pressure on and a spell of possession results in Noble playing a one-two with Faubert and turning the return pass narrowly wide from the edge of the box.
56 mins - Break: Fulham twice break but fail to take advantage before Ljungberg wins a right-wing corner and Cole fails to direct Noble's delivery goalwards, despite having two attempts.
54 mins - Approach: Some good build-up play between Boa Morte, Mullins and Noble finds McCartney on the left but he fails to get a cross in.
50 mins - Return: Noble comes back on with his nose smeared with grease.
49 mins - Corner: West Ham clear a Fulham corner and Andreasen pumps the ball back in. Hangeveld outjumps a posse of players in the six-yard box, including Green, but his header goes well over. First time the West Ham keeper has looked uncomfortable.
48 mins - Blow: Mark Noble receives treatment to a cut nose. He went down in a challenge with McBride and accidentally caught by the Fulham striker's left boot.
47 mins - Improvement: It's better already by Fulham as Stalteri pulls it back from the right byline, Bullard leaves it for Kamara and he advances into the box before seeing his left-footed strike blocked by Ferdinand. Shouts for handball but there was no intent.
46 mins - Restart: Second half gets underway with no changes and Fulham attacking the Hammersmith End, the same end they scored twice to come from behind and beat Villa in their last home game.
Half-time: The worst half of football I've seen for a while, despite West Ham creating a few early opportunities and Fulham coming into it later on. The Cottagers are battling for survival but you wouldn't tell on their first-half showing. Manager Roy Hodgson must surely be targeting this as a must-win game if they are to stay up this season so here's hoping things improve in the second half.
45 mins - Tame: Andreasen, earlier booked for a cynical foul on Boa Morte, has a tame long-range effort easily saved by Green.
44 mins - Snuffed out: Andreasen sneaks past Lucas Neill and finds Dempsey on the left side of the box but the Fulham striker can't get the ball in, having two crosses blocked.
42 mins - Stretch: Stalteri does well to cross from deep on the right but it's just behind Dempsey and he can only turn his volley well wide.
40 mins - Deep: West Ham win successive corners on the left, McCartney puts the ball back in but it's too deep for Matthew Upson, who fails to direct his header goalwards.
37 mins - Direct: Stalteri launches the ball forward from his own half and Dempsey does well to nod down for strike partner McBride. His fellow American pulls the trigger, although his 20-yard volley bounces straight to Green.
36 mins - Wide: Kamara cuts in from the right and fires wide from 20 yards under Ferdinand's challenge. A corner is awarded and easily dealt with by the Hammers.
34 mins - Survival: Fulham can't climb out of the drop zone today after 10-man Birmingham snatched a late draw against Arsenal but they could do with building some momentum after beating Aston Villa 2-0 in their last home game.
31 mins - Comfortable: Fulham work some space for Paul Stalteri, who sweeps in a right-wing cross, although Green takes a comfortable catch with Fulham bodies flying in.
29 mins - Unselfish: Noble turns Hangeland 20 yards out and tries to play the ball through to Cole when getting a shot away was probably the better option.
28 mins - Scuffed: Bullard probes the West Ham defence and a loose ball sits up for Dempsey on the edge of the box but the American striker scuffs his shot and still fails to trouble Green.
26 mins - Space: West Ham win a corner on the left, which is headed down by Ferdinand, and Boa Morte sends a back header well over from six yards. The ex-Fulham forward was in more space than he realised although the ball bounced too high for him to do much else with it.
23 mins - Cagey: After a cagey start West Ham are beginning to gain the upper hand at Craven Cottage.
21 mins - Close: Faubert flicks on a hopeful ball forward by Noble and Cole lashes the ball narrowly over from 20 yards. The big man is proving a handful for Hangeland and Hughes although the ex-Chelsea striker must be more clinical - perhaps always his weakness.
19 mins - Caution: Hangeland is booked for that clumsy challenge on Boa Morte, who requires treatment. Fulham easily deal with the West Ham corner.
18 mins - Blocked: Boa Marte nips the ball away from Hangeland following Cole's flick and gets clattered for his troubles. Cole latches onto the loose ball and charges into the box and took a touch too many before Paul Konchesky comes across to make stop Cole getting a shot away.
16 mins - Loose: Diomnasy Kamara cuts in from the right and lays the ball off to Murphy, but his ball forward is far too long for McBride. Sums up a poor opening.
13 mins - Booking: Danny Murphy is dismayed after being booked for a tackle from behind but the referee is only applying the law.
11 mins - Test: Cole attempts to liven things up with the first shot on target. Boa Morte lays it off for Noble on the left and although his cross his swept goalwards by Cole, Niemi gathers at the second attempt.
10 mins - Messy: Fulham are almost caught out by Carlton Cole as Brede Hangeland and Aaron Hughes make things difficult for themselves at the back.
7 mins - Shot: Clint Dempsey looks to test Robert Green after being released by Jimmy Bullard but his 20-yard strike is blocked by Anton Ferdinand.
5 mins - Quiet: A slow start from the London rivals before Hayden Mullins lays the ball wide for George McCartney and Antti Niemi comfortably gathers his left-wing cross.
Respect: There's a minute's applause to mark the anniversary of Bobby Moore's death. The England legend only had two league clubs - Fulham and West Ham.
Changes: There are three changes for the Hammers with Julien Faubert making his full league debut after his own injury problems, with Mark Noble and Luis Boa Morte also coming in.
Return: Brian McBride replaces Erik Nevland to make his first start since dislocating a kneecap in August. Aaron Hughes and Clint Dempsey also return, with Chris Baird and Simon Davies making way.
West Ham: Green; Neill, Ferdinand, Upson, McCartney; Ljungberg, Mullins, Faubert, Noble; Boa Morte, Cole.
Fulahm: Niemi; Stalteri, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky; Kamara, Bullard, Murphy, Andreasen; Dempsey, McBride.
