FULL-TIME Arsenal have rescued a late draw at Emirates Stadium to stay top of the Premier League by one point. Villa will feel hugely disappointed after looking comfortable for long periods.

GOAL Bendtner scores from close range after Adebayor nods down Clichy's cross.

88 - Time running out The clock is ticking down but there is not really the sense of desperation from Arsenal that you would expect in this situation.

85 - Off target again Walcott's cross is just too high and Adebayor once again cannot keep his header down.

83 - No sign of an equaliser Arsenal are still being frustrated at every turn with Villa defending heroically.

80 - Caution Barry gets shown a yellow card for a foul on Denilson.

78 - Double change Senderos and Flamini make way for Gilberto and Denilson.

76 - Getting closer Flamini's powerful shot from distance flies just over the crossbar.

74 - Powerful strike Almunia keeps Arsenal in with a sniff as he makes a fine save from Harewood's shot.

73 - Well over Gardner smashes a free-kick high into the crowd.

71 - Substitution Harewood, who has done well from the bench in recent weeks, comes on for Maloney.

70 - Off target Fabregas delivers another fine free-kick and Adebayor towers above the Villa defence, only to head over Carson's goal.

69 - One-way traffic Arsenal are starting to exert a lot of pressure but Villa are still defending well and there have not been many clear-cut chances yet.

65 - Fine save Hleb shows nimble footwork to make room for a shot, but Carson gets down to his right to save at his near post.

64 - Clichy on the charge Clichy is denied by Carson after a fine run through the centre.

60 - Headed over Bendtner cannot work Carson from Fabregas' free-kick.

59 - Substitution Diaby makes way for Bendtner after a quiet afternoon on the left wing.

56 - Wide again Flamini drills a low shot just past the post from 25 yards after more good build-up play from Arsenal.

54 - Almunia to the rescue Almunia makes a fine save to keep out Young's fierce strike from the edge of the box.

52 - Penalty appeal Young bursts into the box and looks to have been bundled over by Adebayor, but referee Mark Clattenburg waves away the appeals.

49 - Awful shot Hleb picks up possession and drives at the Villa defence, but he drags a tame shot wide of the post.

47 - Tactical switch Walcott is now operating on the right with Hleb pushing up in support of Adebayor.

46 - Carson into the action Carson has to beat away a shot from Walcott within seconds of the restart

Back underway Villa get the second half started. There have been no changes at the break.

HALF-TIME The half-time whistle goes and Villa are good value for their lead. They have been tight in defence and looked dangerous on the break while Arsenal, after a bright opening ten minutes, have been somewhat subdued and have created little.

45 + 2 - Missed chance Walcott feeds Adebayor and he lays the ball on for Fabregas, but his curled effort flies high and wide. Arsenal's best chance of the half.

45 - Good goalkeeping Fabregas' neat chip towards Adebayor is plucked out of the air by Carson.

42 - Off the post Maloney lets fly from 25 yards and his swerving effort beats Almunia but crashes against the post.

39 - Substitution Villa have to make another change as Davies is stretchered off after injuring himself badly in a collision with Knight. Osbourne comes on.

36 - Out of sorts Arsenal have created very little and are wasteful again after a period of pressure, unable to pick out a telling final ball.

31 - Substitution O'Neill is forced into a change as the injured Reo-Coker comes off for Knight.

29 - Agbonlahor posing problems Agbonlahor is enjoying himself against Senderos and Gallas and threatens again down the left. Arsenal are rattled and Emirates Stadium is almost silent.

27 - GOAL Agbonlahor swings in a cross with his left foot and Senderos can do nothing but turn the ball past his own keeper.

23 - Carson fumble Carson fails to gather a corner and the ball drops to Senderos. His control is good but the same cannot be said for his shot as he drags wide.

21 - Frustrated Villa are looking more and more comfortable in defence and are restricting Arsenal to hopeful long shots from distance.

19 - Chance for Villa Agbonlahor gets the better of Senderos and crosses for Maloney in the centre, but he elects to take a touch rather than shoot first time and eventually makes a mess of things as he slices wide.

16 - No way through Walcott embarks on a fine run down the left but is eventually crowded out by a number of Villa defenders.

12 - Brilliant tackle Agbonlahor is released through the centre and is about to pull the trigger when Gallas dives in with a perfectly timed challenge to knock the ball out for a corner.

11 - Poor free-kick Arsenal win a free-kick in a good position as Reo-Coker fouls Hleb, but Fabregas' delivery is easily dealt with by the Villa defence.

9 - Villa gaining a foothold Villa finally get hold of the ball and look dangerous as they break down the left, but Senderos comes in with a no-nonsense clearance.

6 - Stunning save Walcott turns his defender and unleashes a powerful shot towards the bottom corner, but Carson leaps to his right to pull off a magnificent one-handed save.

5 - Arsenal on top The Gunners are dominating possession and Villa are sitting very deep in defence.

3 - Early chance Fabregas clips in a free-kick towards Adebayor at the back post, but the striker cannot keep his header down.

2 - Bright start Diaby and Walcott combine well down the left but the latter's cross is well blocked by Laursen.

Kick-off Arsenal get the game underway, looking to return to winning ways.

Team news Diaby comes in on the left of midfield for Arsenal, allowing Walcott to move up front alongside Adebayor. Villa are unchanged.
