FULL-TIME Both sides had plenty of chances to win it, but they were often limited to long-range shots. Blackburn needed a win today and Hughes may well look back on the penalty shout for Bentley with some frustration. A draw is probably fair on the balance of play, though.
90+3 - Spurs get the corner cleared and we must be heading for a draw now.
90+2 - Santa Cruz nearly causes an upset as he gets onto a long ball from Friedal. It takes three defenders to get it away for a corner.
90 - Three minutes added on. "Come on you Spurs!!!!!!! Lets not let in a late goal again eh!" says Casey Harris.
89 - Jenas fires it in and Friedal claims it. It had a little bit of zip, but judging from his reaction it was intended as a cross.
89 - Samba is booked after bringing down the rampaging Lennon just outside the area. Spurs have a late free-kick in a decent position.
87 - Darren Bent goes very close as he sneaks in ahead of Friedal and nearly flicks it over the American. A very inventive effort (assuming he didn't just miscontrol it).
85 - Mokeona is on for Reid. Not sure what to make of that one - Blackburn were edging it and looking the more likely as it was.
84 - "BRING ON BENT.BRING ON BENT" says Mehran in Pakistan. Not sure it'll help - the teams are running out of time and Blackburn are in control right now. Bentley tries a long-range shot again, but this one's less impressive.
82 - Bentley is fouled (again) and gets a free-kick just outside the area. He hits it well, but Cerny doesn't look too troubled.
81 - Bentley goes down in the area but the shout is waved away. Hughes looks unhappy, and he has a point - he did appear to be blocked off.
79 - One Spurs fan has the impression that his lot are having the best of it. "Sitting here trying to study in Galway, Ireland watching the commentary. Looks like we're shading it. How many chances does Berba need?!" says Mark Earley. I'm not sure they are, really, although you could make a case for it. Both sides have had plenty of chances, but not nearly enough strong chances.
77 - Yellow card for Warnock after a late challenge on Hutton on the right wing. Keane is being subbed off in place of Bent, and he looks less unhappy than usual - no doubt because he's not done an awful lot today.
76 - The ref's having a word with Bentley after a foul on Zokora. Everyone seems to be kicking him today.
75 - The Blackburn lot are shouting encouragement from the internet as well as the stands. "Come on Rovers we need to keep the pressure on Pompy with them not playing today a win would put us level on points," says Chris Lambert.
73 - Lennon shoots! And it was a decent effort as well. Friedal saves though.
73 - And one change for Blackburn, who bring McCarthy on for Pedersen. Hughes is going for it - one point won't do at this stage.
72 - Double change for Spurs with Gilberto on for Chimbonda and Huddlestone on for Malbranque, who's been one of the better players for Spurs today. Maybe Juande knows best, though.
68 - Berbatov plays it across the face of goal and it's very, very close to 2-0 but no one can make a connection. In the aftermath, Santa Cruz has picked up a booking for a mistimed challenge on Zokora.
66 - Pedersen should do better as Roberts holds it up and manages to lay it back on the edge of the area. It's well over the bar. Still 1-1.
64 - Keane is played in and holds it up in the Blackburn area, but has to wait and wait and his cross eventually fails to do any damage.
61 - Thumping tackle from Malbranque to quell a rising Blackburn comeback. It's almost a thrilling game, but both teams keep failing to produce the good just when it matters. It's very nicely poised though. Bentley just tried a decent long-range effort, but it went wide.
59 - Well, you lot have piped down and I can't say I blame you. I wouldn't like to make any predictions at this stage. Blackburn have it back down the Spurs end again but Roberts runs out of ideas in attack.
56 - Aaron Lennon's perked up - he's at the heart of all Tottenham's good work right now. The crowd are getting louder and louder and Sparky's looking angry after Warnock gives away a foul. Jenas takes the free-kick on the edge of the area, but Blackburn get it away.
54 - Spurs finally remember to do what they did first half as Lennon races into the box and plays it across. It goes through to Malbranque, who fires a decent shot in, which Friedal beats away. The see-saw shifts again.
52 - Roberts tries a shot but Cerny holds onto it. It's all Blackburn this half - looks like Hughes has had a word at half-time.
51 - Roberts puts a cross in and it comes out for new-boy Vogel, who tries a shot so wretched he may well have played it out of the stadium. He's had a quiet debut till that.
49 - Berbatov shoots! ...but Friedal doesn't have too much trouble with it. Decent effort, though.
48 - Roberts goes clean through but the ref pulls him back for a foul on Dawson that never was. Unfortunate.
Blackburn get the second half underway and Emerton has come on for Ooijer in a tactical switch. "James Norman of Chelmsford Toyota belives a 2-1 win is on the cards for Blackburn Rovers with a last minute winner!! This needs to happen as his boss is a Spurs Fan," apparently. We'll see.
HALF-TIME Well, that was interesting. Tottenham seemed to have the edge and could have gone on to dominate, but Blackburn fought back well and, as we go in for half-time, it's completely open. Bentley, Pedersen and Santa Cruz look the most likely if the home side are going to do it, but there's no telling what's going to happen right now.
45 - Lennon is flagged offside as he takes a ball from over the defence. He wasn't offside, but he missed anyway. One minute of injury time to play.
43 - There's confidence in the Spurs ranks. "Spurs to win 3-1 with Jenas to score one of those. Fingers crossed!" says Casey Harris. Who knows what's going to happen? No one has any sort of control whatsoever at the moment.
42 - Bentley goes very close with the free-kick, which, although slow-paced, curled wickedly towards the top corner. Cerny stops it without too much trouble, though.
41 - Blackburn have a free-kick a little way outside the Spurs area after a trip on Reid.
39 - A clever piece of play from Blackburn gives them a chance for a cross, but Warnock makes a bit of a mess of it.
36 - Blackburn fan Nick Beswick has written in, but it was a bit sweary so I'll have to paraphrase: he reckons Blackburn are lulling Spurs into a false sense of security. Not sure either side can be too confident at this juncture, myself.
35 - Lennon goes down in the area and it seemed to be in slow motion. The ref's waved it away. Samba looked to have got at least some of the ball.
33 - One fan has Tottenham's number: "I can never see tottenham going a game without conceeding so i predict 2-1 balckburn...bently to get one," says Matt Griffin. I can see there being a few more goals here if we continue as we are...
32 - Spurs get a deep free-kick after a foul on Hutton and Lennon ends up with a half-chance to level. He fires over horribly, though.
31 - Santa Cruz fires in a decent effort. It's all turned around here at Ewood - are Spurs heading for a re-run of the Newcastle game?
29 - BLACKBURN GOAL!!! Bentley does brilliantly to control the ball and make his way into the area, plays it across to Pedersen who equalises with a neat finish. It's 1-1.
28 - Zokora's down after Blackburn enjoy a rare foray into the Spurs half. There's obviously nothing wrong with him and he gets back up.
27 - Tottenham are running rampant again and the fans are getting confident. "Berbatov to bag a second and bent to scome on and score 3-0 to the londen lads," says Tom Minter. I assume he's a fan at least.
25 - Lennon does well to make a bit of space on the left and puts in a decent cross. Well, it would have been a decent corss if there had been anyone there to turn it in. Much better from the youngster.
22 - Pedersen has a shot but it's easily gathered by Cerny.
22 - Hutton does brilliantly down the right and chips it in for Lennon, who's offside. A disappointing start for the out-of-form winger.
20 - Tottenham have a corner and Blackburn are starting to fall apart. The corner comes to nothing though, which at least gives Blackburn a breather.
19 - Berbatov has a golden chance to make it 2-0 as he goes clean through, but Friedel stops it well.
18 - Malbranque does well to get some space on the left but his cross isn't up to much.
17 - It's still not quite happening here, but there has been the odd decent chance. The crowd seem a bit more up for it than they had done, at least.
14 - Berbatov nearly goes clean through but can't get it under control. IThe game's threatening to spring to life.
13 - Hutton gets himself in an advanced position on the right again and fails to deliver a decent cross again. He'll need to do better than that from that kind of position.
11 - It's all calmed down a little now, or at least it seems to have done. Let's have your thoughts on the matter to spice things up a little: hackett.robin@gmail.com.
10 - Bentley has a pop from long-range but it's a fair bit over. Not a bad effort, but no cigar this time.
9 -Berbatov wants a foul just outside the area. He doesn't get one and rightly so - he went down easily there.
7 - TOTTENHAM SCORE!!! Jenas is played through and squares it for Berbatov who, despite a bit of hesitation, gets it over the line. That may calm the visitors down a little.
6 - Cerny's still looking a bit unsure as Dawson is forced to clear his lines after another piece of miscommunication.
5 - Cerny makes a complete mess of a clearance after coming out of his area. He was closed down and Bentley puts it into the box - that could have been costly.
4 - Tottenham have a chance as Dawson flicks on a deep free-kick. Friedel collects it easily though.
1 - Tottenham have a free-kick on the half-way line and play some nice football early on. It ends up with Hutton, who makes a mess of the cross.
Kick-off: Tottenham get the game underway.
Your view: This could be a big game for Blackburn, who need to keep up the pressure on Portsmouth if they want to secure a top six spot, while Spurs are playing for pride after the embarrassing capitulation to Newcastle last week. Email me your thoughts throughout the game on hackett.robin@gmail.com and I'll do my very best to share them with our fellow readers.
