90+2 - Full-time: A fully deserved victory for United, West Ham offered nothing despite their man advantage. Victory at Wigan next weekend would guarantee the title for United.
90 - Added time: Two additional minutes will be played.
89 - Rampaging run: Tevez charges forward again, but is forced wide and drills his shot high and wide into the stands.
85 - Good tackle: Giggs plays in right-back Hargreaves, but McCartney gets back to challenge.
84 - Battling run: Tevez attempts to burst through again against his former club, with a typically determined and driving run, but Neill is equal to the task.
79 - Drilled cross: Sears shows his talent with a clever turn out to the left of the area, but his ball into the danger area is gathered by Van der Sar.
75 - Hammers switch: Alan Curbishley sends on Freddie Sears for Hayden Mullins as the visitors go with three up front. Bit late now lads.
73 - Final change: Ferguson takes off Champions League hero Scholes and brings on John O'Shea.
71 - Off the post: Giggs' rampaging run sets up fellow sub Fletcher, who takes his time and aims for the far corner, but hits the base of Green's post. So close to a fifth and United do not look like a team playing with 10 men.
70 - Carnival atmosphere: United's fans are confident the game is won, and are making themselves heard. No prawn sandwiches today.
64 - Ronaldo off: United's super-star is brought off by Ferguson for Darren Fletcher. He looks understandably disappointed as he leaves the field, but the United boss is right to rest him with Wigan still to play and the UEFA Champions League final on the horizon.
61 - Booking and a change: Ronaldo sees yellow for a late swing towards Pantsil, while Ryan Giggs comes on for Park. Paul has been in touch from Australia where it will be nearly midnight when the game finishes.
59 - GOAL!!! Michael Carrick picks the ball up just inside the West Ham half, but is allowed to advance unchecked towards the Hammers box. The former Upton Park man has no hesitation in accepting the invitation to shoot, with his low effort deflected beyond Green by Neill. A man less, but a goal more for United. I won't say it's game over, because the last time I did that, I was made to look somewhat foolish.
56 - Another switch: Ashton finally makes way for Cole, who has all the gear he needs to join the action. But will he have his scoring boots?
52 - West Ham change: Luis Boa Morte limps out of the action, with Nolberto Solano coming on. Well done for remembering all your kit, Nobby. Shane in Ireland is feeling the tension and can't wait for the 90th minute. Could be a long time coming....
50 - Danger for United: Pantsil nutmegs Park before driving in a low cross which Ferdinand clears, but only as far as Parker. The midfielder sets himself up for a shot but drives it well wide.
47 - Early start: United fan Brian has been in touch from Texas, where he got up at 5am to follow the game. Hope the action is helping you stay awake!
46 - Under way: West Ham get the second half started two goals down, but with a man advantage.
Second half: Ashton seems to have recovered, with Cole paying the price for not being prepared. Keep your comments coming, and if the second half is a little less breathless, I'll publish a few more. 45+2 - Half-time: Riley brings a breathless first period to a close. United looked to be totally on top thanks to the brilliant Ronaldo and Tevez's pile-driver, but Ashton's overhead kick and Nani's stupidity have put things back in the balance. Stay tuned for the second half - it promises to be a bit special!
45 - Added time: Two additional minutes will be played. Cole's shirt has arrived, but the ball has yet to go out of play.
44 - Substitution delay: Ashton needs to come off, but Carlton Cole has left his shirt in the dressing room. Genius.
40 - Fergie fury: The United boss must have been hoping for a relaxing afternoon after his side romped into a 3-0 lead. Things are looking very different know and the Scot is pacing the technical area with a scowl on his face.
37 - RED CARD!!! Nani is rightly dismissed after a petulant clash with Neill on the edge of the West Ham box. The United midfielder head-butts the Hammers defender, before faking injury himself in a bid to escape punishment. Referee Riley consults with his assistant before bringing out the red card. The tension is cranked up even further.
33 - Nervy defending: Ashton's clever free-kick finds McCartney, whose cross goes all the way across the box to Zamora. He clips it back into the danger area, and while the ball is eventually cleared, it is not with any authority by United. Another goal for the visitors would make this very interesting.
30 - Ashton worry: The Hammers striker needs treatment off the field on his groin after scoring, but trots gingerly back on. Let's hope he can continue after that stunning strike.
28 - GOAL!!! Shows what I know. West Ham go straight back up the other end of the field and Brown's poor header from Zamora's cross is dispatched in style with an outstanding overhead kick from Dean Ashton.
26 - GOAL!!! And from the ridiculous back to the sublime as Tevez lashes home an absolute belter. The Argentinian cuts in from the left and unleashes a vicious strike which swerves past Green on its way into the back of the net. I have to say, it's effectively game over here, and now just a case of how many more United will score.
24 - GOAL!!! From the sublime to the ridiculous. Hargreaves' deep cross from the right goes over Tomkins and is left by John Pantsil. The ball strikes a surprised Ronaldo on the thigh and beats Green from four yards. That's 40 for the season for Ronaldo, and although he knew nothing about that one, they all count.
21 - Skills: Nani and Ronaldo combine down the left with some fluid football that briefly bamboozles the West Ham defence, before they recover to again clear their lines.
20 - Superb challenge: Ronaldo gets away from Tomkins and bursts into the area, but as he draws back his foot to shoot, Parker slides in with an excellent tackle.
18 - Great defending: Tevez works himself a yard of space on the right of the West Ham area before driving the ball across goal, beating Green only for Tomkins to clear impressively.
17 - Generous decision: Wes Brown gets in a tangle as he battles for a bouncing ball with Zamora, clearly catching the ball with his arm. But Riley awards the free-kick to United for pushing by Zamora. Another strange call from the man in the middle.
14 - No foul: Scott Parker trips Ronaldo on the edge of the West Ham area, but referee Mike Riley waves play on. Very strange decision.
13 - Superb pass: Paul Scholes shows his class with a sublime 40-yard ball out of defence to the feet of Ronaldo. The winger finds Tevez, who then feeds Nani, but his cross is headed clear. Typically excellent from Scholes.
12 - Stat attack: United have won 23 of the 27 Premier League games in which they have scored the first goal this season, drawing three and losing just one. The omens do not look good for the visitors.
10 - Good clearance: Owen Hargreaves advances down the right and swings over a dangerous low cross, which Neill has to be alert to clear from his own six-yard box.
7 - Scrambled clear: A nervy moment at the back for United as a corner from the right is headed back across goal by James Tomkins. Bobby Zamora challenges Edwin van der Sar, who has to be helped out by Patrice Evra as he flaps at the ball. Not very impressive from the big Dutchman.
3 - GOAL!!!! Lucas Neill's slip allows Cristiano Ronaldo to advance into the box with his shot deflecting beyond Robert Green off George McCartney's knee as the defender backs away. The perfect start for the home side and Ronaldo's 39th goal in all competitions.
2 - Early corner: Former Hammer Carlos Tevez links up well with Park Ji-sung, with the striker earning a corner, which the visitors eventually clear after a spell of pressure.
Kick-off: United get us under way. Hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen, let's hope we're in for a great game.
Temperature rising: The teams emerge from the tunnel to a wall of noise at the Theatre of Dreams. Meanwhile, Howard is following the action all the way from Doha, and the splendidly-named Saviour has been in touch from Malta. Hammers fan Paul Parker (probably not the ex-Red Devil) claims he would be happy to see his side lose if it denies Chelsea the title.
Tense times: United now only lead the Premier League on goal difference after their defeat at Stamford Bridge last weekend. Can they claim the two wins they require to be sure of the title? Or is the momentum now with the Blues? Have your say by sending me an email at rob.parrish@bskyb.com or by using the feeback button in the score centre, and I'll publish a selection of the best.
