Tevez: Equaliser
Full-time: Man Utd 3 Tottenham 1. United safely through to the last 16. Two more goals from Ronaldo, but Spurs can be happy with the way they looked more than a match for United until Dawson was dismissed.
Sub: Simpson comes on for Evra.
90 + 2 - Block: Defoe escapes from Brown, but the defender recovers in time to block the England striker's shot.
Three minutes of injury time indicated by the fourth official.
88 - GOAL: Man Utd 3 Tottenham 1. Ronaldo cuts in from the left, goes past Gunter and hits a low shot on goal. Cerny looks to have it covered, but somehow he lets the ball slip under his body and into the net. Game over, United are through to round five.
87 - No way through: Berbatov with a clever cross towards Keane, but Evra gets there first and heads clear. Vital interception by Evra.
85 - Almost level: Berbatov gets in front of Brown and forces the defender to slice Malbranque's cross against his own post. So close for Spurs.
84 - Blocked: Rooney lays the ball off to Anderson to drive from the edge of the box, but the Brazilians shot cannons off Rooney and ricochets away.
Sub: Anderson replaces Tevez for United and Defoe comes on in place of Tainio for Spurs.
80 - Ambitious: O'Hara tries his luck with a free-kick from all of 30-yards but it fails to reach the goal and United clear their lines.
77 - Keep ball: United move the ball from one side of the pitch to the other before O'Shea breaks into the area and lifts a cross into the middle. Cerny reads his intentions well though and plucks it out of the air.
74 - Sighter: Scholes with a trademark drive from 20-yards, but he pulls it slightly and it goes wide. Spurs have been warned.
72 - Too long: Spurs do well to win a corner and keep the pressure on United, but their second ball into the area is too hard and drifts away from Keane who tries in vain to keep it in play at the back post.
Sub: Boateng on for Lennon.
70 - Space: United now have the room to keep the ball away from Spurs and make them chase. It could be a tiring last 20 minutes for the Spurs players.
69 - GOAL: Man Utd 2 Tottenham 1. Ronaldo dispatches the spot kick into the bottom left-hand corner as Cerny dives the other way. That could be enough for United now that Spurs are a man light.
68 - Sent off: Rooney gets goal side of Dawson who knocks the ball behind with his arm as he tries to prevent Rooney getting a shot awy. Penalty to United and Spurs are down to 10 men.
66 - Worth a try: Tevez fires an effort fractionally over the bar as he is falling. He could have played in Ronaldo down the right but he was entitled to have a pop given how much space he was allowed.
Sub: Paul Scholes make his return from injury in place of Michael Carrick.
Sub: Chris Gunter on for Lee Young Pyo.
63 - Under pressure: Spurs are struggling to clear their lines at the moment and are having to deal with wave after wave of United attacks.
59 - Great chance: Hargreaves frees Ronaldo who has got in behind O'Hara but with just Cerny to beat he uncharacteristically fires the ball into the side netting. Both sides have now missed fantastic chances to take the lead.
58 - Corner: Another well worked set-piece, this time involving Giggs, Hargreaves and Rooney, but the latter cannot find a way through the bodies in front of him.
56 - Threat: Ronaldo skips past O'Hara and his dangerous cross is well dealt with by Dawson at the back post.
55 - Bad miss: Ferdinand gets caught out of position and Jenas runs free behind him. Faced with only van der Sar to beat he hits a woeful effort wide of the goal.
54 - Never troubled: O'Hara swings a 20-yard free-kick around the wall but van der Sar has his angles well covered and allows the effort to sail past the post.
52 - No room: Evra bursts down the left and finds Tevez 18-yards from goal. The striker pulls the ball down but has no time in which to get away a clean strike on goal and slices his effort towards the corner flag.
50 - Good defending: Giggs tries to bamboozle Huddlestone with stepovers, but the big defender stands up well and nicks the ball away from him before he can get into the box.
47 - Unlucky: Lennon's pace frightens the life out of Evra who falls over as he tries to hold the winger up. Keane has acres of space at the back post but Lennon's cross/shot drifts onto the roof of the net. Spurs could be left to rue their missed opportunities.
46 - Bright: Ronaldo straight into the action as he runs at the Spurs defence. He plays in Tevez who spreads the play to Giggs, but the Welshman's cross is hammered away at the near post.
Second-half: Spurs get the second period up and running.
Half-time: Man Utd 1 Tottenham 1. Entertaining first-half and both sides will be confident that they can go on and win this.
45 + 1 - Good save: Great vision by Malbranque sends Jenas in on goal, but his low shot across van der Sar is pushed behind by the Dutch keeper. Another good chance for Spurs.
One minute of stoppage time to be played.
Booking: Evra cautioned for a foul on Jenas.
44 - Clever: Giggs with a corner from the right which he plays into the feet of Carrick who remians unmarked 25-yards out. Carrick tries to help the ball into the box but gets his feet tangled up and scuffs it along the ground where it can easily be cleared.
41 - Wrong choice: Ronaldo feeds Tevez whose back-heel finds Carrick in space. The midfielder tries to place the ball into the net though and gets underneath his shot and lifts it over the bar. He perhaps should have concentrated on putting his foot through the ball as there were a few defenders in the way who may have got a touch to take it past Cerny.
40 - Frustration: Wayne Rooney is on Peter Walton's case after the referee pulls him up for a harmless looking lunge towards Dawson.
38 - GOAL: Man United 1 Tottenham 1. Dawson fails to deal with a long ball into the box and only succeeds in heading the ball straight up in the air. Giggs is underneath the dropping ball and his touch rolls into the path of Tevez who finishes with aplomb past a helpless Cerny.
37 - Chance: Carrick presents Giggs with an opportunity to get a shot away from the left of the area, but his effort is tipped over by Cerny.
35 - Tricks: Ronaldo tries his best to shake off the attention of O'Hara and Malbranque, but his run takes him away from goal and his left-foot effort on the turn is easily blocked by Huddlestone. Ronaldo is yet to exert any real influence on this game which will please Juande Ramos.
32 - Waste: Lennon gets one-on-one with Brown but instead of trying to use his pace to beat him he decides to shoot from 20-yards and hits a tame effort straight at van der Sar. Keane was free to his left had he looked up. United caught out at the back and Spurs should have done better.
29 - Good play: Rooney and Tevez combine well 20-yards from goal and the Argentine striker lobs a ball into the box for an onrushing Ronaldo to chase. There is just too much on the pass though and Cerny is able to dash off his line to collect before the Portuguese winger can get there.
27 - No outlet: Spurs succesfully defend a United corner, but when Lennon smashes the ball clear there is no-one up front and United are able to come straight back at them. Spurs can't afford to give the Red Devils too many free attacks.
26 - Test: Evra loops a high ball into the box but Cerny watches it all the way and claims confidently with Tevez and Rooney waiting to pounch.
24 - GOAL: Man Utd 0 Tottenham 1. Great ball by Dawson frees Lennon down the right, he skips past Evra and his low cross to the back post is tapped home by Robbie Keane.
22 - Flick: Giggs is allowed too much space on the left and manages to get a cross in. Tevez attempts a spectacular flick towards goal but there are too many bodies in the way and Spurs are able to clear.
20 - First save: Rooney teases Lee on the edge of the box before cutting inside and drilling a low effort on goal. The shot lacks power though and Cerny is able to drop on the ball to keep it out.
17 - Confidence: Spurs have settled into the game now and are knocking the ball around well, making United chase the ball.
15 - On the post: Lennon delivers the first corner of the game and Berbatov climbs well to power a header goalwards. Rooney has been brought back to guard the back post though and he is able to hack the ball off the line. Spurs unlucky not to take the lead.
14 - Just wide: First time that Ronaldo has been allowed to turn and set his sights on goal, but his radar is off on this occasion and his low drive squirts wide of Cerny's right-hand post.
13 - Dropping back: The Spurs backline are sitting very deep which seems a strange idea given the ability of Ronaldo and co. to run at people when allowed to bring the ball under control.
11 - Floated: Giggs has a run at Lee and dinks a cross towards the back post. Unfortunately for United Rooney had come short and Tevez is nowhere to be seen.
9 - Sloppy: United squander possession, but Spurs give it back to them. Evra has the opportunity to feed Rooney who is breaking into the box but his pass is wayward and runs straight through to Cerny. Poor play all round, but there are gaps appearing all over the pitch already which bodes well for an entertaining and open game.
7 - Dragged: Berbatov lurks dangerously on the edge of the area, but his effort after the ball breaks to him is poor and it harmlessly dribbles wide of the goal.
4 - Side neting: Giggs finds himself on the right and his pull-back from just inside the box finds Rooney in space. He slightly rushes his effort though and the ball ripples the side of the goal instead of the back of the net. Another warning sign for Spurs' make-shift defence.
2 - Almost in: Long clearance by van der Sar and Dawson and Huddlestone do well to prevent Rooney from muscling past them and getting onto the loose ball. Early threat from the England striker.
2 - Easy claim: Early free-kick from Spurs, but it is over hit and sails safely into the arms of van der Sar.
1 - Surprise: Lee Young Pyo has lined up at right-back with Tainio being given the task of marshalling Ronaldo. Good luck to him!
Kick-off: United to get us underway.
